I was 22 years old and severely overweight when I started looking into the Lap Band Surgery. I have a family of Cancer, Heart Disease and Strokes. I decided on weight loss surgery a month after my grandfather had a major stroke. Every generation in my family has had strokes at a young age. I went to Dr. Baptista and that was the best decision I have ever made. Since my surgery, my whole life has changed. I have lost 64 lbs to date. I have to eat differently and think differently.
