I attended a seminar recently and seeing the stats on weight loss were shocking to me. My numbers are rough but say 45% of excess weight for band and 75% for RNY. The doctor seemed to imply that with a high BMI patient such as myself with around 200 pounds to lose, RNY would be the preferred choice.
I feel confident that if I can curb my hunger I have the drive and motivation to do everything else. Id love to hear from big losers using a band.
