I have always bounced around in weight since 1995. I worked in the telemarket industry at the time, in which my job was sitting down all day. Before this I was a very active, fit individual. But, this job has changed me. Over the few years working there I had gained over 60lbs. It seemed almost like it was overnight. Since then, I had a child in which I gained 80lbs and never lost. Then a few years later another child in which more weight gain came but never lost. Over the years I tried every diet known to mankind. Metabolife, pills, herbolife, hydroxycut, south beach, atkins, and the list goes on and on. I even tried that Garcia diet medical weight lost, and all I lost there was monry! I have always thought about this surgery, but never had the insurance for it, so I thought this was never going to happen for me. SInce then I tried exercise in which I lost some weight, but now my knees hurt all the time, and my feet too. The job that I have has excellent health coverage, so I checked Dr. Grossbard out. He was highly recommend from a few people that I knew. I went to the seminar weighing 222lbs. Spoke to him, had an appointment, and before I knew it had a surgery date, which was the 20th of August. My weight before surgery was 201.8 2 days before. I was weighed 9/3 and I weigh 194.2. I am curently on full liquids now. I will be able to eat a soft, pureed diet in a week all the way up until my appointment at the end of the month. The most exciting thing is....I have a box of clothes that I kept for years and years waitng to get back into them. I cleaned my garage numerous times and have always kept these clothes thinking one day I will be able to fit into these again. Guess what today was that day! I am so proud of myself. I still have a ways to go, but having this surgery changed my life and it can change yours too. Best of luck to all of you.
