Listen? Really? I'm sorry that you have not dealt with your issues. Cause wow! Really? Sugar for weeks and weeks!? You know fluffy I have been overweight for 20 years. Forgive me if I decided to post a good and positive experiance I had. I can tell from your other posts and this one that you are a negative person. So I realize you don't like it when someone else does well. Just an observation. This was not meant to be a i'm better than you post. Just my experiance and what works for me. It may not work for everyone but it might help someone. Did you really even NEED to make a comment here?

I know! One of the best things that I have gotten from the band is knowing I won't be trapped in this body my whole life! Pre band I would cry at night because I felt so desperate to lose weight and felt like there was nothing I could do. That first night home from surgery even though I was in pain, I was so happy because I knew my life had changed for the better! It has taken me a year and a half to lose those 80 pounds, but all that time was worth it. I have stumbled along the way but I pick myself back up and get right back on track! Those days of I cheated so whats the use are gone. It must suck to not indulge in a bad food every once in a while.
  6. Tricare prime is the BOMB! The process was easy and smooth. When I first talked to my pcm about lap band, he told me he didnt think I would get approved........1 month later I had my surgery date! It's been a year and a half and I have lost 80 pounds. (i was a slacker for the first few months) doc billed tricare $33,000 and tricare paid $6,000. Tricare has also taken care of the adjustments (fills). Total out of pocket for me was $50 for pysc eval, and $100 for protien shakes stuff the surgeon had me do preband. Money well spent! Good luck!

    Curious

Are you getting enough protien? I think you need to talk to your nutrisionist sounds like you are not eatting enough. I would cut out a bedtime snack. But def talk to a nut.

    When do you exercise?

If I don't go to the gym in the morning then I won't go later. So always in the morning.

    ONEderland

Congrats and how awesome is that! I made it to onerland 2 weeks ago and I feel like a totally different person!
  10. I think the orriginal poster ate something bad, learned her lesson and won't do it again. Everyone will make bad choices at some point, but there is no need for a comment like Spatan's. It was ugly and uncalled for.
  11. Wow oh great and mighty know it all! I read some of your previous posts and some of them are greAtly informative.......but then you post some that are flat out mean and rude! you make the assumption that the people here make bad food choices all the time, which is probably not true, as in my case its not. Weren't you kicked off the board once already? Next time you see a post like this and want to pass judgment keep it to yourself oh perfect one!
  12. Well excuse us stupid people spartan. Why are you so bitchy? Jeezzzzzzzz So I guess you have NEVER eaten something, gotten stuck and said yeah i'm not going to eat that for a while? Or you have never ever eaten something that wasnt the best choice? Somebody needs to get off their high horse.......just sayin

    UGHHH!!! Cheating!

What is this site for if she can't seek the help from others who have been or going through the same thing?
  18. jenn79co

    I am failing

you are NOT failing! You have lost 42 pounds in 5 months! I have lost 80 pounds in a year in a half. it takes time, it took me 8 monthes of fills before I had any control over my hunger. It doesnt happen over night. Hang in there and keep looking forward.

  21. I weigh every morning, like other posters it keeps me on track.
  22. jenn79co

    No longer obese!

    Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  23. It was crazy to finally see that 199 on the scale! First time for me to be under 200 in 14 if years. Getting under was hard though. I had gotten stuck at 201 for two weeks! It was like a horrible cosmic mind &$@&! So close and nothing! I was working my butt off at the gym. But finally after I uped my calories just a little the weight started moving again. Hers to never letting my weight start with a 2 again!!!!!
  24. jenn79co

    Do fills hurt?

To me its not a big deal, just like getting a shot. My doc numbs (but I don't think its necessary). Then a little pressure and your done. Don't worry no biggie!
