  1. I feel the same way! I am pretty hungry and am eating a lot more than I was a week ago. I get my first fill on Wendnesay, so hopefully that will help. Let me know how you are doing after you talk to the doctor! Hang in there... I just look how far we have already come!!!!

    Your First Fill Date!!!

I was banded on September 21st and I get my first fill this coming Wednesday (October 21st). I am SO READY! I have lost about 11 pounds, but since I have moved to the mushies, I have not lost any more and I am pretty hungry. I worry that I am eating too much, which is kind of funny because it is still at least a 1/3 of what I use to eat.I am surprised that I feel this "normal." I actually feel better now than before the surgery. I do not regret having this done for one second! I just hope I feel that way after my fill.
  3. I got my band on the 21st and am feeling the same way that you are. I just started the mushies a couple of days ago and am having a hard time knowing how much to eat, espeically in a restaurant when the portions are so big. Based on everything that I have read, we are going though "bandster hell." This is the period that you have healed from the surgery (most of the swelling is gone) but you do not have any restriction because you have not had a fill. I just try to take one day at a time. I had not such a great day today, but am going to try to be better tomorrow. I feel your pain! Hang in there, you can do it! I really helps me when I get in this site and read about what others are going through. It helps me stay focused.
  4. Banded yesterday and it was actually not as bad as expected. The worst part is the gas pain, but I can feel it already starting to break up. This was the first surgery I have ever had. Besides the gas, I just feel really bloated and sore. I am walling a lot! Is this normaal... pretty much what everyone else is going through?
  5. I had my last doctor's appt Monday, got approved Tuesday, and on Wednesday they schedued my surgery for September 21st. It is all happening so fast that I have not had a chance to wrap my head around it. Excited, but nervous. I am not worried about the surgery, just the after part. Hope I can be okay with liquid for 3 weeks and then soft foods for 3 after that. (I know I don't have a choice, but worried none the less.) I am just stressed about slippage and erosion. I guess there is such a thing as too much research! I just keep trying to focus on all that I will be able to do after I lose the weight. I decided today that I am going to train for a sprint triathalon as soon as I am able to start excercising again. Good luck to all of you September bandsters!
