Can someone analyze what I'm eating pls?
thinoneday replied to tennessee1031's topic in Food and Nutrition
Hi Tennessee, well I'm out 7 weeks and have about 500 - 550 calories only a day. . .here is what i have Breakfast: 1 scoop vanilla Protein powder with 8 oz mootopia milk lunch : 1/4 c salmon or tuna mixed with 1 tsp fat free mayo, or 1/2 c. cottage cheese, or 1/2 c. ricotta cheese. dinner : 1/2 c. extra lean ground turkey in broth or 1/2 c. extra lean ground beef, or 4 slices of 98% fat free chicken slices with a piece of string cheese in it or an egg. . Sometimes I also eat a string cheese before bed, if my hunger is driving me crazy cause my gherlin isn't gone either. . .but that's about it. . .I have about 8 Vitamins and mineral supplements a day as well, and try to drink my Water to the best of my ability. . . 64oz is just too impossible. . . i get in about 40 oz or so but then i have coffee, etc. . . that could end up about 64oz. . -
ANY regrets getting the Vertical Sleeve?
thinoneday replied to pumpkin07's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I'm sorry Lauramomof3, you sound like your going through a bit of depression or after surgery blues. . . it'll get better i promise. I went through something like you, i was really regretting my sleeve but continued to do what i was supposed to do and you know what, it went away. . . your going to be ok, just hang in there. . . if it continues though, call the doctor. . . and do you really want something bad for you or is it just your head talking? You could be going through carb withdrawal which makes you want to eat everything. . . good luck and cheer up, it gets better. -

First Thread of the 200+ lb group
thinoneday replied to donali's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hi LowKee! Thanks for posting, isn't it funny how doctors have us tall folks weighing so little? I'm supposed to weigh 170? Go figure, my bone structure itself weighs more than that! hehehehe. . . we'll see what happens. . . Good luck on your surgery, I had mine on 12/29 . . it's a little weird in the beginning and you'll find it strange, but bear with it, follow the doctors orders and walk alot, you'll get used to it and soon enough will be so happy you had it done. . . I've not regretted a day since. Just remember that the weird food issues are only temporary and do me a BIG favor? Get rid of your scale, don't become a scale slave, you'll only set your self up for dissappointment. . . I threw mine out the day i came home from surgery and only weigh at the doctor appointments. . . the 1st week and half check up i had lost 32 lbs and now on the 16th i'll be going for my first 7 week check up . . . we'll see what i've lost then. . . but if you get rid of the scale, you miss those stalls everyone talks about and gets depressed over, you have no earthly idea whats going on with your weight and when you do weigh at the doctors office, you are so excited and happy it keeps you going and your not depressed and sad. . . good luck again. . . -
Ok, this is my evil angel talking . . . . yuuuummmmm bbbbuuuuffffeeettttt! I want buffet! Everything on it, I want to be bossy lady and stuff my face with artery clogging grease right now. . . . but of course, what am i having? Protein shake???????? yuuuuummmmmmm tooooaaassstttt . . . wants toast, good thing i'm no where near a toaster! hehehehe . . . ahhhh the life of the weiry dieter . . . have a great day all . . love ya bunches!

Welcome Bitsy, the shocking part of it all will soon leave, no you will not be able to eat a plate full of anything ever again, well maybe a saucer full :scared0: . . you will now have to relearn how to eat, drink and live. . . you did your research on the surgery and you wanted it, so now we promise it gets better but you must put all your umph into it as well. . . the tubes, drains, pains, etc are only temporary. . . i was told i could take my pills whole without a problem. . . there is no research that states you must crush your pills. . . you may want to try that. . . if not, then mix it with sugar free puddings. . . that might help. . . good luck and know that this DOES get better. .

I was off for 2 1/2 weeks. . doctor didn't want me going back for that period of time just for the mere fact that we are tired from surgery and getting used to our new selves. . . sooooo i loved the 2 1/2 weeks off and missed NOBODY!:lol0:

I had this happen to me. . . my hubbie got mad at me cause he thought now i was witholding food. . after i explained to him that it's just what might happen and as long as i was sipping fluids i would be ok, he just shook his head and said "you were really brave to do this surgery". . . i do try to eat my 3 tiny meals everyday, it's the snacking or grazing i no longer do and that is what makes me very very happy! I eat about 500 - 550 calories a day and i like it that way. . . good luck!

thinoneday replied to Christabel's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Eeeeek . . . insurance sucks big time! This is exactly why I did self pay, you show the money you get surgery when YOUR ready, not the insurance company. . . i took out a loan for the whole amount at 3.7% and have never looked back. . . could you consider that and show that stupid insurance company you don't need them? -

Bless y'alls hearts. . . these problems seem rather painful. . . hugs to all and hope you will all feel better soon! -
Laura, you might also have plantar fiscitits with spurs, I thought i had "fractured" my foot at one time cause the pain was amazing especially in the morning getting out of bed. . . I'd hobble around for a while and eventually it would subside, not go away, just subside. . . then i went to the foot doctor and sure enough, I had several spurs and plantars fiscititis. . .what a pain (literally) . . . exercise balls usually come with exercises don't they? If not, get a tape you can follow for exercise balls. . grazing is not good. . .don't know what to tell you about that though sorry. . .
