Yes, I'm one of those type AAA people who HAVE to be a perfectionist with everything, (However, I couldn't ever walk on water! hehehe) sometimes I don't think the word "chill" is in my vocabulary! hehehe. . . I take a bunch of Vitamins especially the B's to help me calm a bit, but nope, I'm just plain nutty. . . :svengo: sometimes it's good, but sometimes it's really irratating especially to those who aren't type A's. . .but I'm fun and a nice person to be around. . . I'm just really, really hard on myself. . unfortunately my 19 year old daughter is like her mom, hardcore on herself. Any how I'll let everyone know how it goes. I really like this forum, I'm learning a lot and even the doctor thinks that is great. . . he thinks the more you know about all this, the better it is. . . .

Obstructed by a "bezoar", has anyone else heard of this?
thinoneday replied to Vampyrvet's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
HAHAHAHA. . . .LMAO:w00t: -
Wanna hear about impatient???? I haven't even been sleeved yet (in January) and I wanted to be at goal yesterday! I am the most impatient soul on the earth. . . but they tell me that Rome wasn't built in a day and neither was my obesity, hence, it'll take a while to lose it too. . . but when it does come off and I'm at goal! Yipppeeeee I won't know what to do with myself! I've NEVER been at goal. . . (maybe at birth, I don't know:rolleyes:) Hang in there, it'll happen!

Can I have a Mocha drink with real coffee?
thinoneday replied to LAN2k's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Coffee is my weakness, I TOTALLY LOVE IT. Where did you find it? I can't answer your question, sorry, I haven't been sleeved yet, not til January, but would like to know where you can get it so I'll have it handy if it's possible. . . are we not supposed to drink coffee?????:svengo: -
Susan, how long has it taken you to lose 77 lbs? You look great!

I asked my doc what he had in store for me in January and he said it would be a 34F endoscope. . . does that sound too big or just right? He was in clinic and couldn't talk too much. . . thanks!

Need your help! Im just starting my journey
thinoneday replied to geobaby's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hi! Welcome, well I'm a little further than you in my journey, but attended the seminar already. I live here in San Antonio and the cost for my sleeve is going to be $19,000 (self pay) I was pretty lucky, I got the whole amount approved as a personal loan from my bank at only 3%, so that may be one way to go. . . otherwise those credit companies they suggest have a payback to 10% or more. . . I have my surgery in January, see my doctor on November 20th as well as the nutritionist, and psych eval. . .I wanted it a bit earlier, but hubbie suggested not to rush something as major as this and just to wait for the new year and start fresh. . . what a grand idea, at least now I'll actually have something to Celebrate New Years about. . . but good luck, hope this answered one of your questions. til next, stay positive and keep smiling:thumbup: -
Well take care of yourself, hope you feel well soon. . . the flu seems to be going around so get lots of rest. . . til we hear from you again. . . always Thinoneday:001_smile:

What do you want to do that you couldn't do before the sleeve?
thinoneday replied to *susan*'s topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
All I want is to be slimmer, and not have people goggle me when I walk in somewhere, or goggle and whisper when I go to eat, or onto a plane, or hear the sighs when they find out they are my seat partner, not to sweat all the time. . . all I want is to be normal again. Cougar . . . you go girl! You be the cougar you've always wanted to be. . . I read somewhere a beautiful quote "You can be want you felt you could not" Lets live our lives like never before!!!! -
Well, what can I say, I KNOW for a fact that I'll be just like you.:biggrin0: I'll be so scared to eat cause I spent so much money (selfpay) to get this surgery that be damned if I mess up. . . Funny thing is I now eat only 1400-1500 calories a day if that, drink TONS of water (amazed I haven't died from water intoxication :w00t:) I exercise 5 times a day religiously 45 min on treadmill at 3.1 mph and 15 more minutes on stationary bike at level 9 random hill. . . and I have maintained a weight of 330 - 335lbs for the past 10-12 years. . . go figure! I'm 6.0 tall and all the testing in the world for why I'm so big, BP 116/64 P 59 (resting) cholestrol 200, thyroid normal, everything is normal. . ugh. . . so now when my surgery comes along in January, believe me I will be so inclined to be anorexic (no wonder they have a psych eval huh?) but i want to lose weight so badly and be able to fit into normal clothes and wear jeans and nice bathing suits and shorts that I'll do anything. . . does this sound familiar? I bet it sounds dumb, but desperate is, desperate does. . . . thanks for listening to me rant.

Wow, I hear all these things, nausea, acid reflux, pillow under tummy, can't turn, so my question is how much pain is there with this surgery? Hopefully nothing like a c/section

Week 1 follow up results
thinoneday replied to mdgibbs's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Yup, isn't that the truth, I rush to gym just to make sure i get a tv treadmill, if i'm out of luck i go to the ordinary ones and let me tell you, trying to lip read from the overhead tv's isn't much fun especially when you look down and realize you've ONLY been on it 3 minutes out of 45! Ugh:confused: -
Week 1 follow up results
thinoneday replied to mdgibbs's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story

Another Newbie Sleeved on the 21/9
thinoneday replied to Nikski's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Welcome and yes, you've come to the right place. . . how do you feel? Was your surgery pretty successful? I haven't been sleeved yet, not until January, but am trying to "learn" all that I can. . . keep on posting and let us know how you are progressing. . . congratulations again. . . -
What do I need to know/expect Post OP?
thinoneday replied to IGDiva's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

Dehydration Issues.
thinoneday replied to PhotoSteve's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm so sorry you are sick, have you been to the doctor for possible N1H1 (swine flu) sounds terrible. . . but the symptoms are all there for it. . .better go check it out. . . reaction to nyquil? that is really bad. . . i love nyquil and hope not to have a reaction after I have my surgery. . . anyhow never mind me. . . go to the doctor in any case and get checked out. . . -
Bless your heart! I lived in Canada for 33 years before I moved to the States. I know how wrenching it is to "wait" your turn for surgeries, it's terrible. I lost 2 aunts to cancer as they "waited" their turn for help. . it was awful. . . but I wish you all the best in the world. . hope your turn comes soon. . .I haven't had my surgery yet either, but will have it hopefully in January (if I don't chicken out) I could have had it now in October or November but hubbie decided it's best not to rush things and to wait until the new year. . . (I'm like ok whatever) hehehe. . . he is probably right anyhow. . . anyhow we're here for you and like you I'm here to learn all I can. . . . it's alot of money (Im self pay) . . . til next time take care and all the best to you!

Wow, you sound just like me. . . people can't believe I hate shopping! But I do, why? because nothing fits, just LaneBryant or Roamans, how embarrassing is that? And EXPENSIVE!!! After I'm sleeved (January) hopefully I'll lose enough to make shopping interesting enough to go with daughter (she LOVES shopping) . . . she commented me the other day that I'll be able to fit into all her debutante gowns! Not a bad idea! Might just do that. . . What I really love to do even now at 330lbs is clean and yard work. . . (yes I have an immaculate yard :001_smile:) I also have a huge aquarium that takes my time (love my fish) and I enjoy crocheting. . .I have never been a sweets person I can take em or leave em whatever, . . I enjoy going to the gym and fishing. . . so I guess those will be my outlet. . .

Complications after Sleeve Surgery
thinoneday replied to attitudefree's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Wow MnB, please be really careful! Your instincts are always right. . remember the slogan "you get what you pay for" . . . I would hate to see you pay cheaply and the same work done 2x as cheap with tons of complications. . .can't you sell your tickets? get some sort of refund? I'd be really careful. . . Good luck in your decision making. . .thinking of you -
Thank you everyone! You guys are so great! I can already tell you'll all be an excellant support group! Thanks again and I definately will ask alot of questions in the next few months ahead. . . have a wonderful day and chat soon again!

Please folks, you don't want to take phentermine, I was hooked on it for over 1 year, yes it stopped my hunger, yes it worked pretty good, BUT, be prepared for insomnia, irratability, mood swings, etc. . . and when I came off it, oh my gosh! Let me tell you, tremors galore, and headaches out of the gazoo, want to talk about gremlins and gizmo things! Well they actually exist coming off phentermine! And guess what?? The weight I had lost (100 lbs) all came flying back on even though I didn't change my habits or exercise program. . . here it all came back on. . . it's a bitter/sweet drug with dire consequences. . . the choice is yours but this is what happened to me. . . I'm glad i'm off it and will never look back.

Full on half cup of soup LOVE THE SLEEVE
thinoneday replied to techgurl1988's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
So it's true then that when you get the sleeve surgery you really don't feel hungry? I was told that the receptors stay at flat line and you really don't get hungry at all. . . this is so cool???
