I have the following items for sale CHEAP! If you are local to Eastern VA (Fredericksburg area) I can meet you. Otherwise, I can ship. Prices are for pick up. Would have to add shipping based on location. All items are brand new, unopened. In the days after surgery when I was bored to tears and only had my computer to keep me company, I may have gone on a post-op Protein shopping spree! I will never use these - but hope someone else can! - large container of unflavored unjury powder: $20.95 on Unjury.com, $10 - small bag CVS Cookies and Cream protein powder: $12 at CVS, $5 - 750ml bottles of sugar free Torani Syrup (the same brand Starbucks uses) - great for smoothies and shakes. $7.95-$10.00 retail, $5 each * chocolate * coffee * Hazelnut * Salted Caramel Please message me if interested! -

It took me a long time to get used to Greek Yogurt, but I kept at it and love it now! Funny how things change Post-surgery, I make Protein Jello (1/2 pack of unflavored protein - a full pack is too much for me, and a box of a strong flavored sugar free - like cherry) and then put about a 1/4 cup jello and 1/4 cup plain greek yogurt and mix it together. Gives it the fruit flavor without the sugar.

I could have written this myself! I also was sleeved 12/4 and I made stuffed manicotti last night for dinner. I am on full liquids through Tuesday, but couldn't help myself! At first, I did what @PetraLuxor says... I took a bite of the sauce, chewed it up, tasted it... and spit it out. Four times! And then finally had to have a real bite. It was sooooo yummy. But then I've spent all night thinking not only did I just cause my stomach to explode, but I would never be successful. Then I woke up this morning and all was well And I know not only am I not going to cause my belly to explode, but I can't expect to be perfect... just better than I used to be! -

December Surgeries?
PrincipalsOffice replied to mishiegirl2012's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was sleeved 12/4. Two night stay in hospital (no complications, just my drs routine stay). I was a but nauseated day 2, but what do you expect after drinking that nasty stuff for the leak test?! Anyway, came home and took my pain meds a couple times, mostly at night to make sure I slept but I also had the most bizarre dreams so I stopped. I'm now almost 2 weeks out and completely pain free. Exhausted, working hard to get water and protein in and hoping that helps with energy. -
Great job!

My husband is an ass
PrincipalsOffice replied to Rileysmama's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I have to say, my hubby has been so supportive and asks every meal if I'd prefer he eat elsewhere. For me, I figure if I'm ever going to have a normal relationship with food, I can't expect others to hide. It's not been easy but I'm hopeful. But in general, I agree husbands can be butt heads! -

12 Days Away... Excited To Begin Again!
PrincipalsOffice posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hello everybody! I have just moved my profile over from Lapband Talk to VSGTalk! I am so excited to be here! I had LapBand in Nov, 2009. I started at 297lbs - my highest weight ever. Optifast brought me down to 290 for surgery day. I was not very successful for the first 6 months or so, but once we found the right restriction, weight started dropping. For about a year, I lost steadily. I got remarried, ran my first 5K, got down to 204 pounds... the lowest I've ever been since weighing in at 199 in 8th grade PE! Then the trouble started. After going for a barium swallow for my Crohn's (no complications were occuring, just routine test), the technician thought my band was too tight. Why? Because at 7:30 in the morning, thick, nasty barium wouldn't go through my band fast enough for the test. So he called my LapBand dr and advised I have Fluid removed immediately. So I did. And from that point forward, over the next 6 months, I had fills and unfills because my band was sooooo finicky after messing with it. I began vomiting bile and acid every. single. night. I would wake up in the middle of the night gasping for air and nearly drowning in stomach acid. After about a month, my husband made me go to the doctor. They diagnosed a slip and removed all fluid in March 2012. They waited with hopes it would reposition on its own, but in August 2012 decided to have another surgery to reposition or replace the LapBand. When I woke up from surgery, I was told they had to remove it. The swelling was so bad, they couldn't move the one already there, but had to cut it out and would not attempt to put a new one in. In the meantime, my employer (and insurance) had changed. So it was a fight to get them to approve a VSG. But they did. After nutritionist appointments - again. And more classes - again. And even a visit to the shrink - again. They approved it. I am scheudle for VSG December 4, 2012. I CAN NOT WAIT to start living again. I have gained 60 pounds since the band was deflated and I can't stand the way I feel. Overstuffed in jeans (refuse to buy more). Out of breath at the top of stairs. Aches and pains and exhaustion again. I am so glad to be here and can't wait to get started! -
