Hey,I was wandering if you could tell me what all you had to do to get approved with Aetna for the Lapband. I have Aetna and was just wandering if it was hard to get approved and how long it took you to get approved.You can respond back to me at ekennon@hotmail.com if you don't mind.Thanks for the info.

I have Aetna and I was approved after providing 2 years weight history( recorded weight from dr. charts for 2 years) and jumping through all the surgeons hoops..I went to a seminar in Dec 2008 had my 1st appiontment with the dr. in April... had a endoscope( checked my stomach) and saw a dr. for my sport/psych eval...had to show a 3 month diet history ... went to weight watchers and to my regular dr. for 3 monthly weight checks ...my approval letter came last week and my surgery is Sept. 14 th..hope this helped you!
