Hi Marialisa! How is life after your first fill? I'm still stuck on the same number after 3 weeks of eating right and working out! Grrrrr! Two more weeks until my first fill - can't wait! Take care!

Hey Crazy! You must be pretty excited! Does your dr. require pre-op diet? I'm 4 weeks post op (tomorrow) and it's going pretty well. I've gotten back into a routine at the gym and I feel like I can really do this (I'm really freaked out about sagging skin, so I'm doing cardio and for now light strength training). Get excited! Look out world...Crazychica is going to be a knockout!!

Hey Crazy!!!! Every step at this point is exciting! Do you have a pre-op diet that you have to follow?

Hi again! You're right, we do deserve this. My first fill is 11/5. I'm afraid I'm hoping too much that the fill will "cure" my appetite. I've lost a total of 30 lbs. (pre & post op combined) but nothing for the last 2 weeks! I know it will come off, I need to be more patient - I just can't wait to see results for myself!!! I went to a formal gala with my husband and packed myself into a pair a spanx and a dress that was very daring (for me!). I felt great (aside from the spanx cutting into my gut!)! It was the first time our friends had seen me without a baggy sweatshirt on and the response was almost overwhelming! What do your friends/family say? Have you always been overweight? My kids keep saying, I wonder what you're going to look like! I have no idea - but I can't wait to see for myself!!!

Hi Marialisa! I was just wondering how you were doing since your first fill! Do you still feel hunger? Is there a big difference? I've just completely stopped loosing weight even though I work out every day and eat well (a few minor "bads" but nothing major! It's really frustrating!

Hey Crazy! I understand being nervous - it's really not that bad. Use those pain meds the first few days and no problem! The first week your stomach will be very swollen and you won't be hungry (thank god, because you'll be drinking 1 oz. of protein/liquids every waking 15 minutes!) Do yourself a favor....go to Bariatriceating.com and read about the different protein shake recipes....there are tons!!! I drank vanilla for 2 weeks and was getting so sick of it! I had no idea of all the other varieties, syrups, etc. that you could do to make the liquid stage more appealing! They also guide you into what brands are better for you than others etc. It's been three weeks since banding and I feel completely healed, full of energy, and have started back at the gym (I'm really freaked out about loose skin, so I'm faithfully walking/working out everyday!) Good luck - keep in touch!

Hi! Thanks for the words of encouragement! Bandster Hell is everything it's cracked up to be! I didn't gain this weight overnight, so I need to be more patient!

Hi Crazychica!!! I was banded 9/22/09 and completely know what you're going through! It's not fun and I have the willpower of a child in a candy shop - that's what got me here! I can't wait for my first fill on 11/5. I'm hoping the hunger and cravings will ease up! This site is great for encouragement and support! Whenever I feel like I'm going to indulge, I look at before & after pics. It really does help! Best of luck to you - you are already gorgeous - be prepared to be drop dead gorgeous in no time!!!

Hey Vikki! I get my first fill on 11/5. I'm doing okay with the diet but stopped losing weight. I lost 8lbs. the first week post op and nothing more for the last 2 weeks! Went to a catered B-Day party for some friends and the food looked amazing, (Pan fried chicken, steaks, etc. but I could only eat the mashed potatoes!! I've cheated a few times, but I'm eating my high protein, low fat foods religiously. I would love nothing more than to sit in front of a pan of brownies and pig out - I'm glad my head is getting stronger than my stomach! It's really hard though! How've you been handling "bandster hell"?!

Wow! You look fantastic! I was banded 9/22/09 and can't wait to see what a difference a year will make! Congratulations on your beautiful transformation!!!!

Hi Tracy!
It took me a while to figure this out as well! Unless my kids show me or do it for me I'm pretty much lost in technology! If your looking for some really great recipes go to bariatriceating.com - I found it really helpful in suggesting which protein powders are the best for you and the most flavorful. I also found out the joys of adding sugarfree syrups to really make a knockout protein shake. (I'm hooked on protein hot chocolate and cappuccino's) I like warm beverages and these are fantastic and filling!
