There's got to be more of us at our goal weights? Sigh...
-
Just a quick post to tell you all that losing weight and maintaining at goal weight is POSSIBLE with the band. I lost approximately 115 lbs in 14 months. I have now maintained my weight loss and am at my goal weight for over two years now. It's A LOT of work. It's not easy. But totally worth it! You can do it too.

TWO years at GOAL!
Lap Band Gal replied to Lap Band Gal's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
bchgurl4u: I recommend that you find your "WHY" "WHY" do you want to lose weight? Is that "WHY" worth it to you to not turn to food when you're bored, sad, happy, etc? Also known as = Not hungry. Is that "WHY" worth it to you to choose to exercise each and every day? Weight loss with the band in my opinion is a huge mental game. If you can find your "WHY" - then maybe you'll be able to find weight loss? Just an idea. -

Jazzercise! Jazzercise! Jazzercise! I love Jazzercise. Check out this blog post that shows how much Jazzercise has changed my body shape, even though I am still the same weight on the scale. Let's talk about my back fat: http://lapbandgalsjourney.blogspot.com/2012/08/lets-talk-about-my-back-fat.html

The Psychology Of Size
Lap Band Gal replied to Sojourner's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I can honestly say that it's taken me up until about a month ago (14 months into maintenance) to really understand my smaller size. I can now look at clothes on a rack that are size M or L and hold it up and say to my self, "that's too big" So I guess it's taken over two years for my head to "catch up" with my body. -

Easy Button To Goal Weight?
Lap Band Gal replied to LadyMaggie's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I wish that there was an "easy button" but unfortunately, the band is not that. Ditto what Steph said above. You can do it! -
Awesome! It's so good to hear from others who are at or near goal!
-
Robin, how's your water intake? At least 64 oz per day?

Just Had My 7Yr Band Anniversary!!
Lap Band Gal replied to Kelliebelly's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Thanks for checking in So good to hear about your continued successes! -
Yes, journalling your food is SO IMPORTANT. Give it a try. I journalled every single day for 14 months and lost about 111 lbs. Now in maintenance I journal about once a week just to double check my food choices and see where I'm at with calories and Protein counts.
