4 and half weeks ago. I’m in the soft food phase and feel like I can drink water same as always ( the only day I felt I had to sip was the first two days after surgery). I need to constantly remind myself to not gulp water, but a bit concerned that I can gulp water. Today, I think I ate too much , but find it weird that I only stop eating because I know I should versus feeling full: am: pure protein 6 am protein shake and at 6:30 about half of a Greek yogurt /lunch out with dad :half of a tuna melt without the bread, heavy cheese ... I felt like I could’ve ate more/dinner at 6:O0=4 ounce creamy soup/ 7: 00=sugar free popsicle (30 calories )/8:00=cappuccino popsicle (40 calories

Yuck... I can barely stomach the prescribed Bariatric advantage multivitamin (taking two that are so huge and chalky when you chew them is nearly impossible and I’m beginning to literally gag). Ant recommendation for an alternative that palatable ? Thank you, in advance

I wonder why gummy multi vitamins are not recommended ?

Thanks everyone!

Two weeks out and sometimes I have to run to bathroom

Sorry if TMI, but who else can I ask? Doing protein shakes and was so happy to finally that delicious premier protein drink you guys recommended , except about thirty minutes after at work I had to run to the bathroom ... this didn’t happen when I tried it yesterday. Never happens with Bariatric advantage... happened a couple times with other drinks like quest and iconic protein. As you can tell my dr didn’t give me much of a pre or post op consultation . Also what is “dumping “ -

Protein shakes besides Bariatric advantage that you like?
BQT replied to BQT's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Mmm thanks everyone, I finally tried premier protein and it was yummy. The other shake I liked was quest but when I looked at the nutritional content , there were like no vitamins. It just had protein. I think it’s important during the liquid phase to get as many vitamins as possible. Thanks everyone for your input -
Post op: One month of nothing but broth and protein drinks ???

Had my surgery on Wednesday and my doc says the first MO this only:water, tea, sugar free juice, protein drink, broth and popsicles. Were u allowed anything else? -
Im exactly 1 week. Day one was not bad because I stayed over night and was super high on the pain which were even in my system for hours after I went home...days two and three were the hardest. Doc prescribed liquid hydrocodone/norco to be taken ever 4-6 hours ....for 4 days I took it every four hours and started to feel pain about two and a half hours I took it. Nevertheless, yes there was pain but the meds made it very manageable . It was not umbearable. I was not hungry at all and the most difficult thing was drinking the required 64 oz water .... the first day I only managed about half but I was able to it every other day. Also, it was tough to do my consistent walks because the pain meds just made me want to sleep. The majority of the pain was from the gas in my shoulder . But overall the week was not that bad. And st one week, I feel about 75 percent normal which is amazing

Hope it’s not tmi but it’s been six days and I do t even feel an urge ...

October 16... I’m getting so nervous about complications.getting the band removed and going to sleeve

Hello, I was self pay (about 4 years ago) and unfortunately I feel like my doctor really wants nothing to do with me at this point, since it was so long ago AND I have to admit that I just flat out don't trust him at this point (he was sued for loosing a patient during a procedure and actually only ever contacted me to suggest we "take the band out, since the weight has been lost". Anyhow, I did an endoscopy and fluoroscopy and was told that I have a "small gastric pouch, which is stable" with a "stable tilted appearance compared to the 2012 fluoroscopy exam". Does anyone know anything about this? I feel like no physicians want to talk to me since they did not do my procedure. On, follow up for the endoscopy/fluoroscopy..that dr. said its okay but that its basically like the band has moved into a tilted position but "THIS IS NOT THE SAME THING AS A SLIP". I'ts just something to watch? I don't want to gamble with my health yet I cant bear the thought of trying to re-do or correct this (which he did not suggest by the way) , but I'm just wondering if anyone else has information on this . THANK YOU!!!
