Well, all my life I have been curvy. Not overweight, but always on the verge of it. In the past 3 years or so, around 11th grade, I ended up gaining 80 pounds. Even then I had confidence in myself, but unfortunately I know I had to do something because EVERYONE in my family is overwieght, and they all have health issues due to their obesity. I had no medical problems YET, so me and my parents decided that the LapBand would be a good option for me. After going through all of these tests, and consultations, I finally got my surgery. I was so scared...I cried all the way to the operating room. But Dr. W was so nice and every one in the room was wonderful; they really made me feel comfy! I stayed for 2 days in the hospital, and was pretty sore for a day or two afte my dischage. I still am a little sore (Its only been 3 days out of surgery when I wrote this). But I am optimistic!
