Hi I'm a 40year old mum and wife living in Wales UK. I have been overweight all my life and the Lap band is my last attempt at weight loss if this does not work then I can honestly say I've tried everything. I work as a pre-school teacher have a very active small dog and 2 teenage children who all keep me very busy. I love to cook and care for my family (this probably adds to my problems) I have 2 sister who are both larger than me and think I am very brave. Only a slect few are aware that I have had surgery, my children and parents do not know my reason for this is all my life I've done what  everyone else wants.  This surgery is for me, I did not want to have to justify my actions and my parents would not agree at all and my children would have been very worried.Had my operation on August 3rd 09 and had a slight mishap and needed fluid removed so I have very little restriction at the moment which is disappointing. Hoping to get a fill when I next see the doctor on 15th sept. Hanging in there but having to really watch my diet lost 7lbs so far.
