Let's see... I am 21 years old and morbidly obese. I kept telling myself I was fine but i kept gaining and gaining and going through one size after another. It was embarrassing! I started going to a fantastic church where i met two lovely women who had the lap band done and they were on their way to fabulous! They were very encouraging to me and were probably my biggest fans through the whole process. A few months after meeting them, my mother brought it up-so we went to a meeting, together! After months of dr.s visits, dietician visits, psychologist visit and anxiously waiting... i have finally arrived at my banding date! I was banded on August 25, 2009..yes, 4 days ago, and I am feeling really good about it! I cannot wait to see where I am one year from now, I am claiming victory and keeping the mindset that I CAN do this!!! =)
