I have been overweight for the last 30 years which is over half of my life.  I gained alot of weight with my first pregnancy and was never able to lose it.  Then I had a second baby and gained more weight, so needless to say I was really big and just so tired all the time I just couldn't motivate my self to lose the weight.  After being married for 8 years my husband and I divorced and most of it was due to my weight.  He always told me that he was embarrassed to be seen with me because I was so fat.  So my children and I started a new life by moving to another state.  I decided to go to Nursing school to get my RN so there was another distraction as to not try to lose the weight.  Long story short, got my Nursing License, started making more money got my children raised and on their own, so now I started trying to lose the weight.  I think that I have tried every program that was available, it would work for a short time, but then I would gain all the weight back and then some.  I strted working at the hospital where I live and met another nurse who had Lapband surgery about 7 years ago, we talked about it quite a bit, she had her surgery in Mexico and had some problems so that was kind of scary.  But I finally decided " I am so tired of living this way ".  I met and married my husband 5 years ago and he fell in love with me for who I was, but he was concerned about my health, due to having major back problems mostly due to my weight.  I have had two back surgeries so losing the weight will hopefully decrease my pain or get rid of it all together.  I had a lap band done in Aug of 2009, due to problems had it removed in 1015 now it is 2018 and I had a Gastric Sleeve on July 14th 2018. I am very happy with this. It has only been 7  weeksbut am doing well.
