We Need a spell checker for this forum
LarraineM replied to HAL380's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You're gonna have problems in this forum.........just respect self expression and leave your teaching credentials at the door.........You'll learn alot of important and helpful tips here. -
Firstly realize BCBS of Al owns Alabama. They will approve you but at their pace. You will be required to work thru the 6 mon. period where you r supervised by your Dr. see the shrink, nutritionist etc. You won't be able to pass go untill you run the game. I hated every min of their control and spoke of it often to my friends and family but.....................now my hindsite is 20-20 I think the 6 months of doing what was required and understanding what I was getting into was critical. Banding is not for sissies.......... or folks thinking a just a little thingy...Its a Lifetime committment.

I don't drink with my meals. I was taught that I needed the nutrients that food offers and that filling up with fluids would short change my body..............It just makes me think I want what is best for my body................We are in love

I challenged my hubby to join me at the Y last week. We became members In Feb , this morning was the first time he physically joined in the the fun. It was great seeing him swim. He said that just that little bit of activity made him feel like he had more energy!:bored:

Back at work today, feeling almost 100 %.The mail and return calls I need to make are a killer. I don't mind working for a living its just that I TRUELY hate getting behind..the pressure I guess its my pet peeve. What do I have to show for being off from work for a week no post cards to send or anything. I lost 8 lbs last week the hard way puking and running. My only response was to carry a can of lysol with me as I traveled thru my house.................I became obcessed with the idea one could actually re infect onself with a virius............I even had sick thoughts to boot.

Why am I GAINING weight?
LarraineM replied to sueslostcontrol's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would'nt get caught up in the weighing myself every morning routine. Women especially have flux times with water etc. I only weigh myself every two -three weeks. As long as I am doing what I am suspose to be doing its all good when I weigh in at my Docs office. -
Hang in there you are on the right road.........You'll feel a whole better in a few days CONGRATS!

Thanks WB, the Y made it easy for me 48 laps equals one mile. It takes me about 25 mins .Funny I ve been thinking about a waterproof iPod also. I find myself thinking about what lap I am on and then thinking about what I was doing at that year in my life...............really deep I know, thankfully I am over 48 !
-
No problems getting to the Y this morning for my mile walk in the pool. I feel really great. My goal is to keep it up every Mondays-Wednesday and Saturday for a month. Its doable!
-
Just go with flow its appears to be working. You are eating little but that is normal. You are working your up to 4oz a meal. These fill experiences are so varied it can be confuseing. I did'nt have my first fill untill after 3 months and 45 lbs gone. So relax its very much a baby step thing you'll discover your normal in a while.
