I am following low carb too. Any advice on vitimin intake I think I am falling short in that area.

Its normal to feel pretty BLAH ,after surgery. I d check with Dr 6 0z of Yogart sounds a bit much. I am 4 months out and I have not been allowed anymore than 4 oz of anything

Yes those smells and wants will ALWAYS be around ! The band will be the tool that will help you like nothing else. Yes you will smell many tempting things but if you are working with your tool you have a small bite and know thats all you will have of it.

3 1/2 month post op NO REGRETS!:thumbup:,even after loseing my gall bladder 2 wks ago.I knew that with rapid weight loss sometimes can be the cause of gall bladders removal. I need my band I know that about myself.

Calm down, relax it sounds like you are doing everything you are suspose to be doing. I d go with weighing yourself less maybe every two weeks. You'll be surprized everything you are doing will work,..........just chill don't get caught in what the scale is saying at one moment

Girls come on ,take the next big step and refuse to go back. I haven't lost all the weight I want yet but I am eliminateing as I go it feels great ! I find no comfort in my biggest clothes.

Had my first ever gallbladder attack last weekend I am also 3 months out from Banding. It took them about 3 dys to get my pancrease calmed down enough to preform the GB removal. I feel great and I am home now. My LB surgeon did the GB surgery also. My appatite has not returned yet but I am able to get my 4 oz down.

Hey,isn't 4 0z meals a diet in itself? I like to keep things simple its my only focus along with a more active lifestle.

I think what he did was wrong Idiot or not. Surley a HIPPA violation. You ll be fine, its unfortunate that the CAT can't be put back in the bag. I only told a few co workers and told my boss she was free to disscuss after my surgery ONLY. I did nt want to disscuss or hear everybodys opinion before my surgery. My thoughts now I don't care what they think ! I am a big girl and it was my decision. I guess my thing was protecting my privacy before surgery.

Yes after the hot tea moves it along my doc tells me to do a day of fluids just to heal . Its like begging for forgivness from your new stomach

Greek yogart fan here ! Every morning 4 oz the increased protien gets me thru to lunch which is a great accomplishment. I heard a sugestion from Dr Oz the other day He suggested,eating the same thing each morning is a great way to remain in control no varience in calories.

You'd loose that bet ! I am impressed that we No longer have a air headed cowboy residing in the White House. I sleep better at night knowing Our President is a rational man able to make thoughtful decisions.

I hate when one suggest she represents women..........she represents what ever gets her the biggest check. We don't support her because she stands for nothing,, she is an embarasment not a leader. I can't support someone because she is simply a woman.

I was banded on 10/15/09 with the realize band. I did some reasearch before hand ,materials used, placement,support so here is my report. My dr says its the most advanced designed,more body friendly and hopefully better results as far as slippage goes.Although all the numbers are not in yet.I ve read emough about slippage and bands of the past and it was enough to sell me. The online support I d rate at poor.Sure a pretty website,nice music etc but the support lacks.The site itself is not user friendly in my opinon.If I had not just happened on LAPBANDTALK and experienced the support and openness here I would have been a mess. Once I had a question on a friday afternoon after my surgery hopeing for assistance I called the Realize support team that is available 24 hrs and recieved a call back 5 days later????? anyway maybe they are still tweeking........ My band is working and I am happy with my choice.My restriction has been spot on since surgery,no fill yet.My Dr says that I maybe in the15% of banders that will never need fills. That would be fine with me. So we are just taking it month to month at this point.I have to chew everythig REALLY well and SLOWLY eat my 4 0z meal. I ve experienced twice the stuck pains and now know that sipping hot tea will break the cycle of pain and move the food on thru. I learned that from lapband talk. Thanks again All

Your question is not clear,maybe more would respond if you made it clear............are you saying you are going to do the weight loss and maintain it without exercise? Not a good plan

Girl.........when they see what 4 oz looks like on your plate they'll really wonder whats up. Your real friends will support you.It will be stressful keeping it a secret, don't be ashamed of the band be loud and proud !

Good news is that both conditions can be corrected/elimanated with adequate weight loss.So its a possiable solution for both concerns. I am only 2 months out and see great improvement in both my sleep/diabeties. Good Luck!

Girl you don't want to see what they are going to do to you! seriously..........I am a scaredy too, you'll be ok .we all recognize the risk and accept it because obesity itself has horriable risk.

I am 8 wks out have not had a fill yet ,I have good restriction and continue to lose weight. My Dr explains that everyone is different and he dose not do a first fill untill you stop loseing weight. He said that about 15 % of ppl banded never need a fill. I 'll keep hopeing to be one of the lucky ones.
