My whole life I have been over weight.  I have tried just about every diet and finally gave up about a year ago when I realized I was the biggest I had ever been.  This past June, I decided to look into lap band surgery, so I went to a seminar.  It really made me think about how much better my life could be if I could just loose the weight.  The following week I got on a plane for vacation and realized that I could not get the seat belt around me.  I was so embarrassed.  At that point I knew I was fed up with being fat.  2 weeks later, I returned from my trip and called Northwest Weight Loss to get an evaluation.  By the end of that week I had the money secured and a game plan in place.  My surgery date was set for Aug. 11, 2009.  On the day, my grandmoter and good friend were both there to help.  I spent a total of 2 1/2 hours from start to finish in the center.  My surgery was scheduled for 8:30 am and I was in the car on the way home at 11:00 am.  The first day was a little scary because I was so worried I would pop a stitch or something.  I spent most of the day sleeping.  By the afternoon of the second day I was up and going to the grocery store.  By the 3rd day, I was at the mall.  And by the 4th day, I was back to work.  I feel like I've been moving at a snails pace, but I keep reminding myself that I did just have surgery 3 weeks ago. Now, I am just waiting patiently for my 1st fill.  I haven't been loosing the weight that I thought I would, but once I read the blogs, I realized I wasn't getting enough calories.  For the next week, I am going to try to eat more instead of less and see how that goes.  Right now I am barely getting in 800 calories.  Three days ago, I started walking between 2-4 miles per day.  I haven't really done any other type of exercising because I am worried about ripping my incisions.
