I Got My First Fill Yesterday

Hello there...fellow mother of many different ages. I too have an 18 y.o., 11 y.o., and 3 y.o. I received my band on 06-22-06 and just joined last week. Do you mind my asking what a "PB" is? And what do you mean by "golf ball"; I'm certain I've experienced it but would like a technical opinion. Look forward to hearing from you, Brenda
  2. Hello everyone! I'm so glad to have found this forum. I was banded on June 22, 2006 and received my first fill last Wednesday, August 2nd. I'd lost 14 lbs. before the fill and have lost 6 more since. Before the fill I could eat whatever I wanted though I followed the diet pretty carefully. I was happy with the weight loss (I started at 244),less joint pain, lower blood pressure, etc. Since I've had the fill (8 days) I am constantly in pain. One bite (cottage cheese) can cause radiating pain through my chest and back that lasts several hours. Same thing with a sip of water or no-calorie Crystal Light. When I can drink 3 oz. of water over an hour and a half it's miraculous. But that's happened only once, yesterday. Is this normal? I can't find anything in my information pack from the WISH CENTER that talks about this part. But, it's because of this unpleasant phenomenon that I happened to find this place. And, on top of it all, my stomach growls and growls. :omg: Any helpful words would certainly be appreciated. Brenda

    I'm new! I'm new!

Just wanted to write and say, Good Luck. I think waiting is one of the hardest times, actually. It's so hard to get psyched up to LIVE THE LIFE when you've none of the tools YET. I also did the Nutrisystem plan lately (it was also my last attempt before being banded). I'm now letting my 3 y.o. son take the food to the charity food bank at his school. It tasted terrible; and didn't work. I'm so excited every day to be given this new chance. My right knee hurt so bad from Degenerative Bone Disease that I had a visible limp while I walked around seeing my patients. Now, I can walk up and down stairs without even holding the handrail. And that's at 19.5 lbs down. Can you imagine when that turns into say 40 lbs. down? Good Luck and God Bless. Brenda
