I am a 46 year old father of 3 ages 19,17, and 4. I have a number of other health issues and am disabled. While my weight of 275-280 didn't appear to many that I was obese/overweight, with my other health concerns my weight gain was impacting my ability to experience a quality of life that I can accept. With a BMI of 40-41 and sleep apnea I chose to be proactive and have the band surgery to get back to a reasonable weight and try to enjoy my kids and wife (who is 13 years younger than I) and to live as long and healthy as possible.
