JUDYCH* Please keep me posted. I'm really curious to know if taking your liquid out makes you feel any better!

a806514: My original Dr. was Dr. R. Williams (Columbus, Ga. but was suspended and then relocated......LONG story!). My Dr. now is S. Steinberg in Decatur, Ga. The plan was for a revision. What worries me is that there was no mention in my denial paperwork about the problems I am having. I have not talked to my Dr. yet but I am hoping we can fight it. Thanks for the reply and encouragement. I will keep you posted!

Hello all! I too have not been updating as I should. Since July 2012 I have had all the liquid removed from my band. My back pain has gone (since I had my gallbladder removed) but my chest seems to want to stick around for a bit longer. I have had 2 EGD's, x-ray's, blood work and other misc. test w/out an answer to what's causing the pain. My GI doctor's only solution is to get rid of the band because he saw no inflammation, damage, or problems. It has gotten to the point where I throw up 3-5 times a week. My chest hurts no matter if I eat a cracker, buttered green beans or string cheese. I was just denied by my insurance company to have the band taken out. Crazy? I have seen the band work wonders for quite a few people so please don't think I am knocking it. The band and I had a beautiful friendship for about two years. It is not twisted, has not slipped and is not infected. It seems like neither my lap band doctor or my GI doctor can tell me what the pain is or what is causing it. I have no clue what is causing this pain. Even though I have no liquid in my bad, the past 2-3 months have been hell trying to eat even soup. Not only does it usually come up but I cannot eat a full can of soup A DAY (not a sitting/meal but A DAY). I feel like I have an imaginary illness and because the doctors can't find the problem then it must be fake, an exaggeration or nothing at all. Any suggestions? Any ideas? H.E.L.P.

Does any person out there know of a fill Dr in the Columbus, Georgia/ Phenix City, Alabama area? I would be willing to carpool if the distance is too far but the Dr must take Tricare. Thank You!

Lizzie B* I know you like myself am tired of all these test. For me, no amt of liquid removed or put in changes the pain. I had a stress test (no signs of a heart attack, lol) and the one w/ the sm amt of radiation given today. They asked me to come back after I'd gone home because they could not see my heart in the second set of photos. There was bile blocking my hearts view (they told me w/out a gallbladder my body found a new route to get rid of it and or it could just be the way my body is). So I have to wait until my Dr. gets the results and we go from there. I'd kill for some pain meds until they figure out what this pain is but my Dr. does not want me addicted so I am pretty much praying for a pain free meal each day.....no luck! I am glad to hear of your weight loss though! I just wish you could do it pain free! I will keep you posted and please do the same! Good luck!

Lizzie B* Did you ever find out what it was? I am having the EXACT same issues and I agree...it IS band related, I'm not sure how but I know it is. I had my gallbladder removed and thought it was related to that but the chest/pain did not go away when the rest of my aches and pains left (w/ the gbladder). IF I am having a heart attack I think as often as it happens I should be dead by now. I have had all the tests and am to see a new Dr on Monday. I'd love to hear what you found out or have been told. Thanks!

Congrats and the best of luck to you. It will change your life! We used to have a support group hrer in Columbus but it was ended w/out explanation. I'm almost two years out and would enjoy some lap band company. Do you live on pst or in Columbus?

Same here. Looks like the closest to us is in Albany. Do you have Tricare by chance? Do you know of any support groups in our area? Thanks!

I live in Columbus. I would love to get together and to get some people from our old group back together.

I am going through the same thing......again! I have not had a fill in about 2 mo. and all of a sudden I'm "stuck." Even with ice cream I get the stuck feeling. I get the advice of liquids and smaller bites too but and I'm following that. It seems like I can't get rid of the stuck feeling. It's been about 3-4 days now.AGGGGGHHHHHHHH! Also along with the stuck feeling I burp after every drink or sip of liquid.BLAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Dear Cocoabean, I am taking your advice. I am going to have some liquid removed on Monday. I now do think I am filled too much. I woke up this morning and had my first drink of coffee for the day w/ that funky stuck feeling as it went down. I don't mind eating less but not being able to eat anything is horrible. THANKS!!!! -

Seems like I was doing great until my 3rd fill. I have one day of getting something stuck and after that I cannot even do soft/mushy foods. My band is not too tight. I was perfectly fine the first week after my fill. I think after a day or two of sliming I may not be letting my stomach rest long enough (I was told it may swell after sliming). I had my surgery the 1st of Sept. and have lost 53 pounds (and my goal is another 25)BUT I'm afraid that I may reach my goal in a VERY unhealthy way.....starvation or complete liquid diet a little too soon. I almost dread trying to eat each day and am sick to death of soup.....HELP!!!!!! -

WOW!! Looks like we are in the same boat! My huband was not too fond of the idea either until he went to the seminar with me. I go on the 1st of September too for my band! Good luck!
