Soexcited replied to tripletmomma25's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Just STOP! Arrest the situation NOW it's not too late!! I have never been unfilled however my fills dont tend to last too long before I "loosen up" hang in there and you will be able to do it! I feel your pain... -
Anyone getting banded April 28th?
Soexcited replied to lakeside's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Dont be scared, it's a simple surgery and you will wake up sore but fine. Just remeber to walk walk walk right away ... it will help with the gas pain. I was walking around my neighborhood the day I got home. -
And it depends on how you wear your clothes, do you like them tight? loose? I am 180 now and in a size 16 I am 5"8 1/2 tall I like my clothes to fit a bit on the loose side. Nothing more tacky than a bigger person in clothes that are too tight!

public vomit.....SMH
Soexcited replied to TracyNYC's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Oh boy I hear your pain. I got stuck today but thank goodness I was at home. I had 2 bites of a turkey sausage on a bun (trying to create the hot dog experience) and at least one bite got thrown back up. Yuck. I hate eating out now because I am scared of getting stuck in public. Good for you it sounds like you handled your self very well. I also got stuck on meatloaf on a long drive once, thank god I had a big zip lock bag with me I slimed all the way up the freeway  -
I seem to get the hic up's at meal time when I have had maybe one bite too many. I'm not stuck or in pain but I hic up. I need to stop a bit sooner cuz they are super anoying! Sooooo band related!

Soexcited replied to PrincipalsOffice's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Happy, shopping is hard. I have only gone once and got a pair of jeans a pair of shorts and a few t shirts. I need to get rid of so many things that are too big now but I will have nothing left hanging in my closet! I need the money fairy to rain down on me so I can get some more clothes that fit! -

Menstruation After Surgery
Soexcited replied to Manda87's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My period was due about 2 weeks after my surgery and it came about a month after that, it took a few months to get back on track. -
I had mine done at UCSD and LOVED IT! Would do it there all over again if I had to. Dr. Horgan was my doc and the VERY best in my opinion.

Hi Sash, where in SD were you banded? and I agree I have only found a few in SD who have been banded. I guess all the Southern California chicks ARE realy skinny! Kira hi! How have you been? I am going in today for a fill and feel so embarrased. I have not lost a pound in 2 months, and silly me ate chineese yesterday so I am bloated with salt and up on my scale :smile2: Had my first "run in" with a staff member (the same one you mentioned last time we spoke) you are right. We need to tell them what they want to hear, not the truth. Very sad.

Hi! So I will tell you that I met my husband on line. We chatted on line first then every day for hours and hours. We lived about 100 miles apart, somehow we made it work and were married 11 months after we met. We have been married 7 years now & he is my soul mate. Dont worry about the physical part, if it is right it is right, no matter what we look like.

Hi Pam, just wondering how you are? After reading the past posts I want to know if you guys have met yet?

Sassy, Welcome to the not so wonderfull world of food obsession. I have obsessed about food forever, but mostly when I diet. The last time I went througha phaze where I gained (the year before surgery) I did not think about food much becuase if I thought about something I just ate it. Now I think about not eating it every hour of the day. I had a desk job once (when I was at my heaviest 300 plus pounds) and I wound up loosing about 100 pounds during that time. I got to work at 7am, packed my lunch EVERY DAY a salad lots of fresh veggies and Protein never crackers or bread. I ate a piece of fruit in the car on the way to the office. At dinner time I'd eat a home made dinner then go to bed. I never had time to do anything else because I was so busy working and commuting. Try packing a lunch every day and see if that helps.

Mariposa, if you are down a size at least go buy some tight jeans. I think it will make you feel better about what you have lost, it helped me anyway!! I had another good day and we are headed into the evening now....6.45pm allmost bewitching hour for me. Today I had a yogurt for Breakfast, a shake for lunch, 4 strawberries for a snack and turkey Pasta for dinner. Lots of lemon juice Water (trying to flush all the fat out). So I will keep my fingeres crossed for tonight!!!

It is a daze binge I have never worded it better. And yes we should do another coffee meet sometime happy  So today I have been good again and now it's 7.35pm .... at the computer again chatting with others who have undergone SURGERY and lost but struggling. Maybe I need to do the pre op diet again and get on track.

OK so that didnt work because last night after hubbie came to bed he pulled out a jumbo size of peanut M&M's and in stead of having like 3 or 4 and being happy I ate like 3 or 4 handsfull. It was only after the binge ended that I woke up out of the daze and remembered what I had just written an hour ago. I am super lame. I need to throw away the bag and not have anything at home, I am not in a place where I can just have one and be OK. So today I have been good, a yogurt & flax for breakfast. Blueberries & strawberries for snack we took our son out to lunch today so we both had a 1/4 of a hamburger for lunch and he had the half...now tonight for dinner ... pork loin & veggies.

OK so I have 2 ideas. Both I have already done, the first one .. I went shopping. For the first time since all this lap band stuff I went to the mall and allowed myself to spend some money. I went to Penny's got 2 pairs of jeans, a size 16 and a size 14 they both fit like a glove. AND I got 6 tops (t shirts) all plain ol XL's. I DID NOT SHOP IN THE PLUS SIZE SECTION! It was the first time in a long long long time. So anyway that made me see how far I have come and when I looked in the mirror at the store I could see the difference. Now I just need to remember that nothing tastes as good as that feeling. I actually have stopped writing in my food diary. I have been keeping a diary FOREVER and am soooo sick of it. I have had a great week not obsessing about everything I have put in my mouth and had great days (food wise) like today I had my usual flax seed and trader joes greek no fat plain yogurt for breakfast. 6 oz give or take of protein for lunch and dinner. Tonight it was a glass of wine and pork loin with asparagus. So far I have been awesome....it's 7.30pm here is my time of night to fail, the lights are low my sons in bed, I just got out of the shower I'm clean and in my PJ's my hubbie is reading books to my son and I am not eating as I have been the last few nights I am writing this essay! So what if when we want to head down for something sweet we log on instead. I will remember my moment in the dressing room and how great it felt to buy smaller clothes......from a 28 to a 14/16 is awesome, I need to remind myself of that and just keep going, one moment at a time this evening. Hopefully tonight I will not gorge but instead have an apple if I must. Here's hoping!

Maybe if we can get this thread moving and start talking to each other it will help us all find an answer. I have thought about getting a ring or bracelet to wear to remind me of my surgery, I was thinking of something with a $ sign on it because I was self pay but everything I see is just too darn expencive! I'd like to find something cute... I ate cookies last night ... too many. I did great all day but loaded up my calories at night. I need to stop eating after dinner if I do I know I will start loosing again. I was thinking about doing my pre op diet again. I lost 10 pounds in the first 6 days! Maybe that will get me going??

Well thank God I am not alone. I do great all day, good Breakfast, lunch and dinner AND if I do have a snack I am great. Then after my little one is asleep all I want to do is eat. Mostly treats ... candy ... any sugar ... if we dont have it in the house I head for a protein bar (as close to a sweet treat as I can get) but still calories I do not / can not have to keep loosing but I still eat them.
