My story starts in Jan. 09 when my doctor told me I was borderline for Diabetes, HBP, & HCL, so I went on a diet. I didn't lose much and we discussed Lap band surgery in Feb. 09. I didn't think about it again until early June 09, I went to my doctor and he gave me a referral to Dr Atkinson in Las Vegas, NV. I went to his seminar on 6/15/09 and then back to my Dr to get the nessecary tests done. I then went to the nutrition seminar 7/6/09 and then the pre-op meet the doctor appt. on 7/22/09. Everything went well and I was just waiting on my surgery date. My insurance approved me on my first request. My surgery date was 8/10/09 and I had to spend the night in the hospital due to my insurance. Since then I have lost 23lbs 8/23/09.
