  2. Happy 35th Birthday mamabear!

  3. 5 years has passed since you registered at LapBandTalk! Happy 5th Anniversary mamabear!

  4. While I was pregnant I was sick the whole time. I let the band out all the way when I was 5months pregnant. After I gave birth I went to have my first fill and the band had slipped. I waited til my son was 4months old and had the old one taken out and a new one put in. I then struggled w/ getting my hormones and body chemistry back in order. I never lost any additional weight after the 2nd band was put in. I had the 2nd band put in in Aug 2006. I found out I was pregnant w/ baby number 2 in September 2007. I have put on 45lbs w/ this pregnancy when w/ my first I only put on 16lbs. I don't know if it is because I never was able to get my body straightened out or what. I look forward to having this baby though. I wasn't sick with this one at all. I'm sure that is the cause of 45lbs! 6weeks after this one is out I will be back in to the Docs office to get my first fill to try and start the weight loss process again.

    Pregnancy after Lapband?

I had the band put on in January 2005. I became pregnant in August and my son was born in April 2006. I kept the band tightened until the 4th month. I had to deflate it because I continued to lose weight. After it was deflated, I only ate a little more than when the band was tightened. I don't know if this is because the placenta was pushing up on my stomach or what. Six weeks after his birth I went to have my first adjustment and it was found that my band had slipped. I had to have the surgery completely re-done. They took the old band out and put a new band in. The doctor says it probably slipped because I threw-up too much during the pregnancy. I was super sick the entire time. I began taking anti-nasuea medicine in the 3rd month, but, I guess it was too little too late from the band aspect. My doctor says that there is no guarantees that this one won't slip again if I decide to have another. I will need to start the anti-nasuea medicine as soon as a start to feel morning sickness if I decide to have another one.
