In August of 2003, August 6th 2003 to be exact, I had lap band surgery and since then have lost almost 90lbs.  My overall health improved whereby my diabetes and blood pressure are within normal ranges.  Subsequently I have had some plastic surgery procedures and I have had not major complications except for a port replacement (August of 2009) and a port removal in Aug 2010 due to and infected port most likely caused by a fill gone bad that was done in March 2010!!!!  I love my lapband and it has been a successful journey despite the bumps in the road here and there.
