Telling people, Judgements, and Accountability with the Band
puddinz replied to tarajim's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I must admit that I do tend to wear my heart on my sleeve and I didnt really care who knew. Everyone I work with has been really supportive and my close family are really excited for me. If there have been those who have smiled to my face and are nasty behind it I just think let them! while they are doing that to me they are leaving someone else alone! I am not one to worry too much what other people think nayway but each to there own and I can understand why others might not want to advertise their bands. I think the world could do with a little bit more live and let live. xx -
Hi, I am a photographer and am often asked to do this sort of photo. I always say that you should shop around a bit and find somenone that you feel completly comfortable with because to end up with a product that you will cherish takes work on both sides of the camera. On the day take a friend with you for a bit of support and make sure its fun as this will show in the end result. I hope you find someone I would love to do it for you but live on the other side of the world! best of luck with it xx

Hi I am new to the site and was banded on Dec 11th in the UK, I am on liquids for 4 weeks then on to mushie for another 2 weeks so it seems that every doc is different. I must admit that some of the soups that I have had in the last couple of days have been quite thick but I havent been to physically hungry just head hungry. I have spent the last couple of days just reading old posts this site is a wealth of information and insights. I hope I get to know some of you on our journey, xx

I had my band on dec 11th and have to have liquids only for 4 weeks that is anything that will go through a straw and I have been hungry but a bowl of soup will usually fill me up. I can have jelly (jello) and mousse or shakes and soup. It is the hardest thing I have ever had to do. After 4 weeks I can have fork mashed foods and meat that is no bigger than my little finger nail then at 6 weeks I can start to introduce more crunchy foods. Its difficult but I am going to stcik with it because apart from anything else I have lost 22 pounds in the last 18 days so apart from the head hunger I am a happy bunny. xxx
