I am 50 years old and at the highest weight I have ever been in my whole life. I have been very unhappy and depressed for a long time now. I have wanted to do lap-band for a while now. My sister has just recently completed a lap-band surgery and is doing well with 20 pounds down in 5 weeks. I went to an information session last night and I am so hopeful now and very excited. I made an appointment to see a surgeon for 9/14. I feel so great about that. I know this is the right thing for me. My husband is very against my doing this, and I feel badly about that, but I am doing this regardless. I am doing this for me, for us and for my family. I know it is the best thing and he will see this as time goes on, I am sure.
