After being diagnosed with diabetes, I made the decision to get some help.  I have been successful at losing weight many times, but couldn't keep it off.  I needed a permanent solution.  I went for my free consultation, switched from my employer based insurnace to my husband's (mine specifically excluded weight loss procedures), then went on their mandated diet.  I lost about 30 pounds in six months with the help of Weight Watchers.  I had the surgery on Good Friday, 2009, and had an interesting Easter.  Lots of eating for everyone but me.  It was fun to watch my husband and my children cook Easter dinner though!  I'm looking forward to getting off my diabetic and high blood pressure medicine, and living a healthy lifestyle.
