this just isn't working for me
shoegal27 replied to kdaniels11604's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
The only thing that goes down is cookies, cake and ice cream? If you can get that down why not protein shakes, soup, eggs, yogurt? You said I guess you were not meant to be thin, however having a defeating attitude and not eating the right things, is not helping. However it is not too late to get back on track. -

shoegal27 replied to hfrancis's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Welcome!! How long ago were you banded? It might be too soon for steak. However the feelings you describe are exactly what stuck feels like. Just stay on soft solids for a few days and you should feel fine. -

shoegal27 replied to Froggie D's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was banded on 12/29/09 at age 59. I also know of somebody that was banded at age 72!!! I had diabetes, high blood pressure, knee surgery. I am now off my diabetes medicine. Never limit yourself to being able to enjoy your life no matter what your age. :wink2: -

Had my 1st fill on Monday on my lunch hour and went right back to work. You can drive yourself home with no problem. It is just like getting a injection or getting a blood test. Tiny needle and fluid injected into the port.
