But you'd do it all over again? I've had 2 csections' date=' I'm wondering if its similar to that
[/quote']
I would. They say much worse ike 100 times than a C cause its a bigger incision, muscle repair, they cut out fat, Lipo and seperate tissue layers to do it. So worth it tho.

You look fabulous!!! Congrats on getting to goal so fast but also for maintaining it!!! So how is it two years out? Do you still feel any restriction in your tummy or are you just used to eating healthier?I still have restriction but nothing like I did. I used to eat 4 bites and then feel so full. Then around 18 months like 5 oz now I can eat a full burger. Not like a huge restaurant one but a fast food one. Eat pretty healthy. Mostly nuts, cheese, meat veggies but I do have whatever I want in moderation. It's just not my daily diet. It's def harder to maintain the further out I get I'm not hungry but I just can eat so my h more do I have to be more cautious of what I eat. I weigh every day because of this and try to eat dense Protein at each meal so I get full faster. I still do a Protein shake each day for bfast. I also now have pretty crappy Iron levels. Just did labs Saturday. I also now have reactive hypoglycemia due to eating small amounts so I have watch my sugars. Y eating very balanced food not high sugar n not going too long without food

Hey there!
So I had my surgery in Jan of 2011. I got to goal in under 6 months and have been loving life. Weight loss was fast and easy, my life changed a lot with it. My marriage ended and Ive kind of started over but all in all it was all for the best. Here are some pics! I have not used this site in ages so I'm not sure how this worked. I attempted to attach pics. My high weight was 275, surgery weight 229 low weight 133 (while sick) and normal/current weight 138 - 143…

January 27th at 11am… yeahhhh and after the first submission to insurance! I have no been put on any pre-op diet!?! I will be seeing my dr for my pre- op on the 25th and was told I would get told about any pre-op diet then… Is this okay. Most people I see are not very strict pre-op diets for weeks?!?!? Is this okay?

I looked into surgery through Kaiser in 07 and they made it very clear that if I fell under 40 while doing a prep diet the WOULD NOT cancel my surgery Good Luck
Hi all,
I've been lurking for about a month. Thanks for all the great information. I originally thought I wanted a lap band, but after learning more here and other sites, I've got my eyes set on being a sleever.
I'm a Kaiser patient and will be going through Kaiser Fremont. I met with my doctor last month to discuss getting the surgery. At that time, my BMI was 38.
I have an appt. for the Kaiser Weight Overview Class on January 11 at Kaiser Santa Clara. This is not the orientation. My Dr. said everyone has to take the overview class first.
My doctor scheduled a sleep apena testing for me, which I will do on Monday, Dec. 6. I am quite close to a 40 BMI now (5.5, 235 lb) and will for sure be there before the class on the 11th.
If you have gone through Kaiser Fremont, do you know if you have to have a BMI of 40 after the 10% weight loss? I have high blood pressure controlled by meds and high cholesterol.
Thanks in advance,
Lynda

if you used dr. wetter id love to hear about your experience
Hi there; I have enjoyed reading so much of the info on this site! I am choosing to go the sleeve route, but am having a difficult time finding a clear cut MD for this procedure. I have HealthNet; choices are Higa (fresno) Foster or Wetter (Burlingame) or Upadhyay (Oakland) Does anyone have any feedback or info?
Thank you!!

Yeahhh I survived so far! The evaluations were pretty simple, baring my soul for the therapist was well a tad uncomfortable. I went in with my tats all covered so as to appear as "normal" and well adjust as possible… and I think I may have just pulled it off! lol hahaha She said I passed but did recommend I seek therapy for my "very tragic childhood" wowza she used a few phrases while referencing my childhood that made me feel a lil odd. All in all Id say its been cake so far. I didn't get any info on when to do my labs, my surgeon had said at my last appointment I had 3 things to do 1.) nut apt 2.) physc apt 3.) labs. I got a call from the nut and therapist but nothing on the labs. I left a message for the office but never heard back. Perhaps setting up the voicemail on my cell would help, no? Thats about all new my way, nothing super exciting at 30!
Have a good day all!

I havent even had WLS but have told everyone, I figure if they dont like it they can get over it... its not really their business. I dont get the stigma with it?!? How does it affect anyone but you? Plus I know everyone will ask what I am doing and I dont want to have to lie 20 times a day and make up all kinds of shit. I can see though that if your friends and family are really judgmental that you may feel the need to. But the idea that WLS is the easy way out is insane... and further more loved ones should be happy you are taking steps to better yourself? Just make sure at the end of the day you dont feel ashamed cause you shouldnt you are doing something amazing for you and anyone who cant understand that or respect you does not deserve your friendship... I have one friend who makes it clear she is not happy with the idea of me doing this that its "drastic" but if shes really my friend she will stand behind or just keep her mouth shut cause its not her choice and when we care about someone we support them... Even when we dont agree. I hope you have a wonderful holiday with all the babies!!

I feel the same way! We should see if we can organize groups by city so we could check in on one another and help out

So awesome Soon you wont even have to shop at LB or Torrid, plus size clothes can be so expensive sometimes, even though those stores have lots of cute stuff.
Its just amazing all the options that we are going to have. Ive always loved the skinny jeans with calf length boots look, but my legs are way too big to pull that off...for now Also cant wait to buy my very own little black dress complete with heels...
I so agree… I cant wait to buy a whole new wardrobe.. I went to the rack last night and looked at the all cute shit I cant wear… couldn't resist a new handbag tho! lol haha
-
I figure then the cost wont hit me all at once. I know Im gonna want super cute designer jeans when my fat ass will fit into them and they can run like 150 - 25- a pair!!! Hopefully my surgery date is right behind you! I go down to social every month or so… a year from now you and I may be hitting the mall together!!! hahha
-
So you'll be treating yourself to lots and lots of nice smaller clothes Awesome idea, I think I can might use something like that for my rewards system
-
okay I know this is silly, but am forever spending tons and tons of money at nordstrom and nordstrom rack so when I get the urge to but a new top I buy myself a gift card and hanging on to em for my after shopping. In CA the value of gift cards can not change over any amount of time so Im golden baby! haha

I had those dreams and still do!!!
I have a reoccuring dream, where I am always wearing the same outfit...a nice pair of jeans, with a skinny shirt - tucked in - and a pair of leather boots - to the calf and zipped up all the way - lets hope that our dreams come true!
Oh it will and when it does we wanna see you looking just like that in your profile pic girl~
