I have been a yoyo dieter ever since I graduated high school in 1981! I never had a problem loosing the weight, mine was keeping it off. I have done all the mainstreem diet plans and did loose the weight every single time....then the diet mode would go out of my brain and I would start to get careless on what I would eat or stop exercising, then the pounds would just creep right back. When I was thin, my whole attitude would be different, I would be so out going and would love to be in social gatherings, as soon as I would gain weight back you could see the spark just leave. It is really amazing to me just how "mental" it is.A friend of mine had the lap band done, and that got me thinking about it. I then started to look into all the qualifications with my insurance, and started the journey. I was very fortuniate that I was approved very fast and had my urgery within 2 1/2 months of starting the process. It will be a year in November since I had the surgery, and I am very close to my goal. I am not trying to be too thin, I think a perfect size 8, is just right for me! I have about 10 pounds, and these are the hardest of all......I think going to the meetings is the best advise that I could give to anyone. The meeting keep you motivated. There is always someone there that can help you if you need alittle extra to get you through. I will never stop going to them!
