I had mine on Thursday...I work in the health care field so I was eligible right away....initially I didn't want the vaccine as I felt in had not been researched enough...then one of our Dr's talked me into it.

What an inspiration you are!...CONGRATULATIONS!!!...I'm sure your children are happy to have an active,healthy dad!...and congrats on setting your wedding date!!!!...Wishing you continued success!!!

Time to be Free~You are very blessed to have a DH (most of the time anyway):biggrin:Mine is the same way! *laughs*....how great of your parents to help you out!...Mine would have done the same if need be!.... I have about 120-130 to loose!...very daunting if you think too much about it!.... so I'm trying to NOT fosus on the numbers but rather the journey and relearning to appreciate the "simple" things in life!...We can do this!! nat@the beach~ I'm sure the 6 month wait is frusturating!...Initially I was denied by insurace because I was missing a weight on my Dr. notes. I was so disheartened!...I actually scheduled my surgery in Mexico because I was self pay!...Then...in the matter of 2 days I decided I pay for insurance...I would NOT let them say no....I got medical records from 2004...and in less than 4 hours I was APPROVED!....good things will come for you!...just do what you need to do for the next 6 months!!!!...and Keep US POSTED!!!:Yawn: Potatie~ YOU'RE THE BEST!!! :laugh:

Holy Smokes Potatie!!...You have done AMAZING!!...I have to admit I haven't even been banded yet and already find myself "self doubting"...did you do that?....I think after you have tried so many things to loose weight you begin to wonder if ANYTHING will work!...or is it just me?? Counselor-Is-In....so excited to see your post!...We are being banded on the same day!!!....YAY!!...So sorry to hear about your divorce...that is horrible...but wonderful you have a little guy!...I have 2 boys...ages 5 and 10 and just want so much to be the mom they deserve!!...Because I have already missed out on so much...I feel they have cheated at times!....

Anyone have any favorites???....I ordered a pair of new balance and they KILL me!!!...... :thumbup:

Thank you for sharing!..I truly appreciate it!...I have only taken 1 week off work post op. I work as a surgical assistant so I will be on my feet all day....I had a hysterectomy in January and bounced back pretty quickly.... What was your band date?

Sister I hear ya!!! *laughs*...I am scheduled for November 18th and I am SOOOOO EXCITED!!!....However, i find myself continuing to research all the options (RNY, Sleeve)...I just want to make the best possible choice!!!.....AAARRRGGHHH!!! I have been going back and forth with my insurance after my "denial" in August....after giving up for a little while and deciding to go South of the Border and "self pay".....I put down deposits, bought airline tickets and was prepared to do WHATEVER I had to do!!.... Then...it hit me....I AM SICK.....I have had a heart attack (at 30yrs due to migraine medication), I have high blood pressure, and horrible pitting edema and was being looked at for possible congestive heart failure...I am 35 years old..... I decided I WOULD NOT let my insurance NOT help me....I called....dealt with a wonderful woman at my insurance company directly....had all 86 pages of my med hx resubmitted and ......I WAS APPROVED.....IN LESS THAN A DAY!!! So...in short.....don't give up...fight your insurance...you pay for it....you deserve it!!!!

After numerous setbacks with insurance and ultimately being denied due to not having a high enough BMI for 3 full years I have decided to move forward regardless!!!....I will be self pay but feel good making an investment in myself.... I have just finished my 2nd day pre op.....2 Protein shakes....and one lean/green....and it is tough!!...I am scheduled for banding on the 18th of November....right before Thanksgiving *laughs*....clear liquids....but will be Thankful my many blessings!!!....:thumbup:

Hey guys!!...I just got told this afternoon that I have been "denied" due to no "supervised weight loss" for 3 years with my PCP....talked to my surgeons office and they said that denial after first submission is very common....and they will gather everything needed.... My question is....has anyone else been denied and later been approved and what was the approximate duration between denial and acceptance?? Many Thanks
