Hi my name is Sarah. I have been stuggling with my weight all my life. I was the chubby kid in elementary school, I didn't didnt' pass the fitness exams in high school, and now I'm going through college trying to deal with my wieght. I have tried every diet, exercised, and even tried dietary supplements. At some point I just decided to give up and accept that I will forever be overweight for the rest of my life. This is until reality hit when my dad was diagnosed with type II diabetes. I got scared because my risk for diabetes is very high and I don't want to subject my body to it. I have a life to live and I don't want to be limited because of my wieght and anything caused by my wieght. My mom, bless her heart, told me one day that if I chose to do weight loss surgery, she would support me all the way. This idea sat in my head for months and today, I finally decided to get the surgery. I plan to schedule an appointment with my doctor to discuss the options.I have some research to do about it, however, so I figured this would be a great place to start. I have to admit, I'm really scared.
