  2. Happy 45th Birthday lisarupert!

  3. 2 years has passed since you registered at LapBandTalk! Happy 2nd Anniversary lisarupert!

  4. Hi - I'm happy to speak to you and regale you with tales of my band! What I can / can't do and how long it took to get here - a happy 128lbs. Speak soon, Lisa
  5. Hi Jim, I'm more than happy to help in any way that I can - 43lbs is an awesome amount of weight to lose! Almost a whole sack of potatoes! Don't despair or give up - you've come so far!! Can you eat most things? I can't do fresh bread or red meat but still manage small portions of almost anything else - and I have to have something sweet every day (I just ate a chocolate mousse!) Portion size is definitely the key to my success though! If you want to stay in touch with me, get me on lisa.osullivan@ocs.co.uk Speak soon, Lisa

    Size goal vs Pound goal

I worked to a size and didn't weigh once (really, not even once) for 2 years after my band. I was banded on 3rd April 2007 and had to have a 'ladies' check up on March 27th 2009. I started at 222lb, BMI 40 and UK size 18-20 and was at 132 when I had to be weighed. I am now at 127llbs with a BMI of 22 and a UK size 6 - 8. My aim was to be a UK 12 but I have settled now and am so happy I can't tell you! So - whatever makes you feel that you're reaching your goal, weight, size or measurements - just keep going and knowing that you'll make it!
