I cant eat bread. No more sandwiches 4 me now, buts thats a good thing i used to eat 2 much bread which kept the weight on me, now i have none but im used to that now .

Yes u do feel normal, more than normal its the best thing i ever done, i can do all the things i used 2 do b4 my band plus much more. its a great feeling as i can do so much than i ever could b4 the surgery. U will love it !!!!!!

no regrets here but be prepared for a very big life style change. when the pounds start coming off u will feel gr8 it makes it all worth while !!!

When you get your band its a week 2 week thing but if you put your mind 2 it you can achieve where YOU want to be, it all depends on how hard you work at it and the effort that u put in to it. Everyone is diffrent and loses at diffrent speeds. But yes you can lose more than 65% thats just what the surgeons use a guide line.

hi i feel this 2, i can eat a meal 1 day the try 2 eat the same meal the next day n it wont go down, makes me vomit. think its alot 2 do with how u feel on the day if u r tensed or worried ya stomach muscles tense up 2 maiking it harder 4 food 2 pass thro the band that is what i have found ! if u relaxed and happy u can eat a portion easier. i had a big appetite the last 2 days n ate lots more than what i should of but 3 days previous 2 that i kept absolutley nothing down, that happens quite alot 2 me, i just accept it now and take my vitamins 1st thing in morning so i know im not going 2 vomit them up when i meet with the food. its a strange situation buts thats my experience of it.

i make low fat spag bol n freeze the rest 4 when i need it, you can do this with lots of stuff saves on the wastage !!

You do whats best 4 you, if you want to have the band you have the band its much much safer than a bi pass. The band is revrsable a bipass isnt, its 4 life a bi pass and if u regret your choice u have 2 live with that. The lap band is a really good way 2 loose weight. I chose the lap band over the bi pass because i also have a very young child, its worked 4 me it can work 4 u as well, when i chose to have the surgery i looked at it as my last chance in life 2 lose my weight, my last chance 2 get my life back, and its worked 4 me, so you do what u feel is best 4 you and your family, but most of all do what u feel is right in your heart !

we all eat a seprate menu now. i have my slop lol my 5yr old had his food and my hubby has what ever he wants. we all usually eat at dif times of the day so im never out the kitchen. i make all food in the house. suits me if they wont have same as me lol !:heh:

its best if you can try 2 pack up smoking as it makes it more dangerous when having an op. you will be more suseptable 2 infection as smoking lowers the imunity system and can not fight off bugs as well. i got an infection and could not fight it off i would of been stronger if i hadnt smoked.

hello has any one been told that they need further ops like a tummy tuck and other things after reaching there target weight. i have alot of loose skin remaing after my weight loss and its becoming very uncomftable, so im now waiting 4 a referal 2 plastic surgery. would be nice 2 hear from others that have had a tummy tuck following lap band surgery :)
