yes ive had dehydration as well, its not nice and creeps on you before you relise whats happening, u must drink lots of water but it takes a little while 2 rehydrate properly u prob need iv fluids as soon as possible,hope you feel better soon ! let us know how you are in a few days xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Im the same as you edie, what the scales say each day determines the mood im in. Im addicted to them, but if any one took them away from me i would be really grumpy lol. I know i shouldnt do this but i done it for 18 months now and i cant get out of the habbit now, yes thats what its become a really bad habbit.

breakfast: small bowl of cornflakes with skimmed milk. i have this in my sons baby bowl, as the portion is just right for me. lunch: baked beans with a light spinkling of cheese. side salad consists of iceberg lettuce, slices of cucumber & tomato. with a little low fat salad cream (optional) dinner: homemade spag bol low fat. in a bowl no pasta. snacks: SEA FOOD usually ready 2 eat muscles or prawns for when i get nibbly.

i used to have a prob drinking it in the early stages when i was banded but now it doesnt cause me any problems.

I USED TO ALSO FEEL SHAKY BEFORE THE BAND BUT THAT NOW DOES NOT HAPPEN, WHEN I FEEL FULL I FEEL QUITE HAPPY, AND FEEL VERY NORMAL AFTER A MEAL, AND THE FEELING WEAK HAS ALL STOPPED.

i had a fill during surgery, it wasnt good 4 me and made me ill with the swelling. it closed my tummy down and i could not even take sips of water, i become severley dehydrated and had 2 have an unfill. was a very unpleasant experirnce.

18 months in no regrets i would do it all again.

i crave vinegar lol, im not quite sure why it drives me nuts some days !!!

ITS 1 MORE WEEK YET TILL THE CHILDREN GO BACK 2 SCHOOL IN ENGLAND I WILL BE DOING THAT NEXT WEEK LOL !

My op was delayed by a month as i also had a cold, its safer to wait unitil you are feeling better. Hope u feel better soon xxx

every one knows i have a lap band now, i couldnt really hide it as i was ill after my op, i dont really mind who knows, and for the people that dont know i dont mind discussing it if the subject arises. some people will judge and automatically think it was the easy way out but i soon put them right and explain what its all about.

its because when u have eaten ya tummy becomes blocked and the natural saliva u swallow has no where to pass to so it builds up, and comes back up as it cant pass thro your stomach

ok whatever i dont believe in god as thats my right to, if others want to thats up 2 them, but im on this site because of my lap band no other reason. if god was the issue here it would be called religious chat !

god ???????? what a load of crap no such person or thing even exsists. we all make our own lives our own mistakes our own luck, life is what each individual makes it. we make our our destiny. so NO praying dont work as there aint such a person as god. god didnt make me have a lap band,i did it as my own choice as a human being, not some figment of my imagination. all this crap like i got a band because it was gods choice 4 me 2 have it, thats rubbish !!!!!! this god thing is all brainwashing. we all have our own minds. im going now as this subject is annoying me. bye :phanvan

What a brilliant idea, im at goal and i think this new forum would be benificial to alot of people. It could be possibly named "Life at Goal".Hope this works out as i would us the forum regulary.:scalesno:

i dont drink with meals because it stops the band doing its job,it either makes me sick or it pushes the food through the band so thats defeating the object of having the band so now i dont do it i have my drinks right up 2 needing a meal then i can drink again about 30 mins to an hour after a meal.

Yes i feel like that 2 on some days, im 18 months banded and it is normal to feel like this ocasionally, its a big lifestyle change that we have gone through, and some times we do think back to the way our eating habbits once were, i still lapse on ocasions but get right back on track as soon i can. Its alot to come to terms with mentally as most of us are leaving our old lives behind and beging a new one. The old cravings become less frequent as time goes by but i think its just all part of the process of having a lap band and coming to terms with it.
