    Numbing medication with fills

I've had 2 fills so far and I have gotten the numbing shot both times. My doctor only does fills by flouroscopy and it only takes 1 stick for the fill. I don't want to imagine what it would feel like without the numbing shot because of the pressure of him inserting the fill needle. Anyways, I am happy with my painless fills. I hope that yours get better because that pain could deter you from wanting to get a fill.

    Great Food Finds

These crackers are great! I found them about 3 or 4 days before Thanksgiving because I was determined to have a cracker to dip my favorite pate. I hope not to go overboard in eating them though because I love crackers.
  3. Hi Everyone, Just wanted to step in and say that I am offically on the "band wagon". I had my surgery on yesterday and all went well. I am feeling great and back at home today. I have started on my different protein and none have been great so far but I have sipped them down. All in all, everything went good and I am feeling great.

    Anyone from Georgia ??

I have BCBS GA and I had chosen Dr. Hart who is on my insurance but TR is like a group of their own. I found out that the nurses/doctors associated are like their own or something weird like that and the disturbing part was that Dr. Hart would do the surgery and that would be the last time that I saw him. He would not be a part of anything else. You would see the TR "doctors" or "PA's". Too weird for me so I moved on but I did call Dr. Hart's office and he has a weight loss practice but it was too far to travel. He is in Suwanee / Johns Creek I think. Anyways, when I got the first out of pocket bill for 246.00 for a procedure that I could have had my PCP refer me to for a co pay of $20 I said good bye to TR.

    BCBS Cruel Game

Hi everyone, I have BCBS of Georgia and I did not have to do a 6 month diet and my bmi is around 45. I had my paperwork submitted on about Aug 11th or so and I was notified of my approval on about Aug 27th. I am scheduled for my surgery on Oct 08. So, maybe it does have something to do with your employer. Not sure...

    Anyone from Georgia ??

Hello Everyone, I live in Conyers, GA and originally from Decatur, GA. I am still in the pre-op stage of lapband surgery but I have my insurance approval and my last scheduled appt with my doctor on Friday, 09/11. I originally started with Dr. Hart thru True Results but they have doctors and staff associated with their office that aren't on my insurance plan. So, I had to change in mid stream and I am going with Dr. Steinberg at Dekalb Medical. I am so excited for getting to this point. I have been trying to decide on lapband since 2007 and this year in May I decided that this is the only way that I am going to lose weight and keep it off. I gain strength, inspiration and knowledge from those of you who have already been banded and share your journeys with us. Thank you to all and keep it going....
