I started my journey about a year ago. I went through a year of doctor's appointments, waiting for the insurance company and doing all sorts of tests. I just had my surgery this past Wednesday Aug, 12. This was my first ever surgery and I hope it will be my last. My experience was one I will never forget. I stayed in the hospital overnight. I am still on full liquids as I write this. It is very difficult in this day and age to ignore food, but I am working on it. I have lost 6 pounds already and I hope that it will comtinue to fall off. I was very excited this surgery before I had it. My husband and my father also had bariatric surgeries and they warned me that it would be difficult to stay on the path. I now know what that actually means. I can eat no more then 1/4 cup of food at one time. I am learning more about my schedule everyday.
