I should add this is not the typical med they give you. Aloxi was used for Chemotherapy nausea prevention and is FDA approved for post surgery nausea prevention; Dexamethesone is not FDA approved for that just for chemo.

Hi yes I know the name of the med but I don't know if i got it alone or combination. Its Aloxi; or its Aloxi combined w/ Dexamethasone. I'll know in april after the study is over which one i got.

I just had surgery w/ Dr Ren - she is great. Right now that whole practice are my hero's especially her
My surgery was 9/11 - Oh if they ask you to do the trial drug for anesthesia to prevent nausea DO IT! I had NO nausea at all whatsoever! I think it made a big difference. They will ask you the day of the surgery. There is a whole team assigned to you its very cool. Dr Ren did the single incision on me - i have no scars really the biggest one is in my belly button. Dr Fielding has a video of it on you tube its cool. Lets stay in touch. Pls feel to PM me if you have any questions - and good luck! -
I am using Dr. Hart at Atlanta Bariatrics and have not had any problems with the process. Surgery will be at Emory Johns Creek - a Center of Excellance. I am still in the 3 month program required by my insurer.

Same here - I am jsut over 5 ft and started at 228. Had an UGI this week and the radilogist (female) your being banded a tiny thing like you? Cripes! I have ham hocks for legs, can't breath and my heart may be enlarged. It is not all about the outside. -

Jodi, Congrats! I am also an Aetna three monther (in the middle of it). I saw you had two psych evals - I did not see where Aetna required those in the rules. I did have one that is mandated by my surgeon. Did they question anything? Thanks Gracie Mae:confused:
