  4. I haven't been banded yet but I think it will be well worth the wait. I feel so much like you. I started the long process about mid January 2009 and now I finally have an appointment to see the surgeon and nutritionist on Oct. 5. I have been through my six month diet and approved by my insurance, have been cleared by my cardiologist, a physiciatrist and been cleared of the bacteria that causes ulcers. I have been told that I do not need to have an endoscopy or test for sleep apnea. I think it's just a matter of having my appointment on Oct. 5 then setting up my surgery date and doing the pre-op diet. I am really hoping to be banded by the end of October too. I am so, so ready!!!!!!!!!!! I'll be rooting for you.
  5. Wish I knew the answer for your insurance. I have United Health Care and I too wondered if I could have lost too much weight during my six month supervised diet. I was so afraid I might not be approved my my insurance. I lost 47 pounds and was still approved. My surgeon thought as long as my BMI was still as morbidly obese after the weight loss that I would probably be approved. Also, I have heard that they go by your pre-diet weight. But still, I was concerned about the approval after being told those things. It's so easy to imagine the worst. I hope someone has the answer for you. Hang in there and I'll be crossing my fingers for you.
