who supports right to choose
coltonwade replied to 396power's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I was not speaking specifically of you . I agree law should not be based on emotion , it should be based on fact. I also believe law should not be based on religious views one way or another. Because relgious views , are in some ways based on peoples opinions and how THEY view it. So i do not believe they should be based on that. That is after all why we have separation of church and state ! But i was not addressing that statement towards you . Sorry just a general statement Mindy -
Please try to get back on track of the topic. If you have a personal issue with a member take it off the boards. I know its hard sometimes. But please try to get back on the topic at hand. what did octodumby do today ? LOL Mindy

I think asking people to take emotions out of it if they have had to make that choice is impossible. I also think someone can not judge someone unless and until they have had to stand at that cross road and had to make that choice . Mindy -

Very well said. !!! I totally agree . I respect your opinion and what you did in your situation and I think you resepct what i did in my situation . given your situation I do not know if i could have done what you did , I admire you more than I can type for what you did ! I personally am tired of the word "Murder" or "murderer" being thrown around so casually when this subject is brought up . And i agree with what you said about . Well put ! Mindy -

Abortiion is legal in all 9 months in limited circumstances. You cant just go in your 9th month and say " I want an abortion" Mindy -

I am not saying that not all babies deserve a chance. However , I am saying that if guidelines are set up for babies to be "viable" it is not up to the docs to push the limits time and time again at 20, 19, 18 weeks. Its just not. docs have been known to do it to "see' if they can be the "First" to have a live birth at that gestation age. its playing" God" and not right. I have no problem with a fetus having a chance at 28,30 plus weeks because their lungs and development are more advanced. There is a BIG different between 20 and 30 weeks . Mindy -

you would not say that if you have been in an NICU and see them and the issues they have. its NOT a good idea to save babies sooner all the time There are reasons there are guidlines. Mindy -

They survive earlier and earlier because docs push the envelope . there are guidlelines . If a doc goes beyond those guidelines ( As they did in the octomom case ) Then they are pushed. Most guidelines and some state laws I believe say a fetus is not viable until its 22-24 weeks. A doc pushes that and tries to "save" one at 20 week.s What happens ? You have a baby then that has survived BUT has more physical damage and has no quality of life. So to say they are "surviving " younger and younger is not quite an accurate or fair statement. Surviving at what price ? And at who's hands and who's choice ? Mindy -

Im curious if you can have a discussion with out it being 100% about GOD ! ? you constantly talk about what GOD wants and what YOU KNOW GOD Wants, thinks, knows ect ? Do you have a mind of your own ? Once again what YOU do not understand is that not everyone BELIEVES in GOD therefore you would have to BELIEVE in GOD to BELIEVE you sinned and ASK for forgiveness . I know i did nothing wrong. I think im about to hit IGNORE !!! Gesh ! -

No. Man made abortion legal. God said, "If an unborn baby is killed, you shall give life for life." Do you see now why we should not allow abortions? God feels that those who have abortions are deserving of death. OH ROFLMAO Im sorry this is laughable !!! Line me up for the firing squad then ! I deserve to die ! How about you Green want to stand to the left or right of me ? Oh WAIT maybe we should chose lethal injection since that's Ok ! Mindy -

Because WHO made the death penalty possible ? god ? Is that what you just said ? So the death penalty is ok because GOD made it possible for the death penalty to be made. But its NOT ok for abortion , didnt GOD make it possible for abortion to be legal ? cant have it both ways !!! Mindy -

I am sorry you are having problems. And sorry abut the possiblity of removal. Have you spoken to the doc or considered having a revision done to a sleeve if you have to have it removed ? That could be a possibility ? GOod luck ! Mindy -
The dad came out at one point when Oprah said " she needs cousneling " or something like that . that man looked at her ON The air and said " WILL YOU GIVE IT TO HER " I was LIKE WTF and Oprah was like WTF I think she said even " ME "
-
I watched Oprah and I think as much as the dad tried to act like he was a hard ass on her he made excuses for her . And that's probably been her problem her whole life. Also I will say this. I do NOT LIKE Dr OZ one bit. HOWEVER he was about the only one on that show that siad it like it is which is " She's LOONEY , has no business rasing those kids and someone needs to step in now " So i'll give him credit for that . Her parents are not helping her they are enabling her ! Mindy

DONT FREAK !! I am not sure if i am having anxiety attacks or what is going on . This has happened to me twice in the last month or so . Keep in mind I am under an UN GAWDLY amount of stress right now . But I have been having some kind fo chest pains or pressure. Both times happened when I did not get "StucK" but like it was just enough to say That's it your done eating. Today I ate some egg noodles. Sometimes i can tolerate them sometimes i cant. So now Im having those pains again . It hurts when I take a deep breathe sometimes. I will go get this checked if it keeps up and when i have the money , just curious if anyone else experiences this ? Mindy

2 weeks since surgery
coltonwade replied to bearbelly's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I honestly do not mean to be rough . However i dont see what good it does to be "Sweet" either. ya know ? Some of the best advice i can give you is any "Vices" you have that you can give up BEFORE surgery , the better in my opinion. Also the pre op diet is harder to stick to than the post op in MHO. Its easier post op casue you have the "fear" factor , or at least i did . Look the fact is , this can be done , its done every day . You have to commit to following docs orders. And I will be the first to tell you I HAVE NO WILL POWER ! Honestly . SO If i can do it anyone can . Its 6 weeks of limisted food, to ensure the saftey of your band and then the rest of your life of health ! mindy
