They can check from a cotton swap test. just like insurance compaines do . I forget how long it stays in your system in the short term but it CAN show up for up to a yr . HTH Mindy

I actually ASKED My doc for a hysto and she would NOT do it . She told me at my age ( i was 30 at the time ) its too dangerous , too dangerous to be on hormones for that long if its not needed plus she also said a Hysto is not an approved , recommended or FDA approved treatment for PCOS ! I think you need a second opinion ! Also you will be surprised what weight loss will do for your PCOS and fertility . Go see an endo for sure. I would make sure you tell them ur other doc recommenced a hysto . Mindy

My doc would NOT operate on me if i was smoking ! There are docs that will not operate if your smoking and some go as far as test you to make sure. They are telling you this for a reason though . People who are smokers that have surgery heal slower and bleed more. Your taking a risk of not being approved and your taking a risk with your health by not doing it. Insurances will LOOK for reasons to not approve you and i can see this as being a reason ! So i would not give them one ! I quit months before my surgery . I did not want to have to try to do it right before surgery .I quit cold turkey , well i had Patches . But there is a drug out there now called Chantix that from what I hear is EXTREMLY affective, I think there might be some threads on it around here. Everyone i know who has used it has quit on it. Even peoploe who smoke 3 packs a day . So my personal opinion and this was my reason of thinking, your having this surgery to become more healthy , why do that AND continue to smoke . YOu will not belive how much better you feel from quiting smoking alone add that on top of getting weight off , ITS AMAZING ! HTH Mindy

That is AWESOME !!! Im so happy for you ! Sizes are So hard now that im in "regular" size clothes. Im so happy your in a new size that is awesome. I just ordered a pair of size 14 today !!! Hopefully they fit . if it was not for this stomach appron i have i would be in a size or 2 smaller ! you will be in single digits SOON ! Be sure and take a pic of yourself in those size 14's !! Well Actually !!! Tomorrow is my 8 yr anniversary and as i have lost weight I have gained some confidence. My husband was SO excited about me getting this done . SO I am thinking ( I would have NEVER done this 60 lbs ago ) of going and getting a little sexy nighty and wearing it tomorrow for our anniversary . Again something i would have never done before. DH has not seen me naked in over 7 yrs in the light ! So this would be as close as he's gonna get to that until the Tummy Tuck and boob job ! LMAO NO NO Screaming ! Not bad at all. Im not gonna lie there were a few moments of pain but nothing bad. The part that was THE Most painful was the part that my stomach apron was "under" . THAT was sensitive ! Mindy

Ok so im back . I chose to go with a regualar bikini and I did have the "backside" done I have to tell you the back side hurt LESS Than my front ! It really was not that bad at all ! Mindy

Sorry i just saw this message. Everyone one in my house has been sick for weeks so i have been trying to get them well so the support group has been out the window. I tried before trying to work with everyone's schedule and that did not go well. It hink what i might do is set maybe 2 dates and see how that goes ? Maybe one during the day and one in the evening ? I think if 5 lbs is going to keep you from loosing 100 then gain 5lbs . That is what this is all about . HEALTH . Gaining a few more pds to save the rest of your life to me is totally worth it . Yes there are tricks to it. But Some docs are more by the book than others. So you have to do what you have to do . Mindy

Well we did it ! Tina ( stranger183) and I did the Mardi Gras 5 K today . She ran it i walked it ! I ran a little bit . I Cant remeber her time so i will let her tell ya'll. But mine was right at 50 mintues ! Terrible I know but I ran very little and it was a really hilly course! The guy who entered me in the race who runs races all the time said it was very hilly !
