Have you tried different stores ? maybe differnt stores , different styles might help ? I also think the tailoring idea is an option Also the baby doll type shirts are in now THANK GOD and they hid a lot . My problem im having myself is my arms are so flabby now , i live in Texas and EVERYTHING here is either sleevless or short sleeve or VERY VERY Short sleeve . Not cool. ! Im in "Normal" sizes and and store by store differs so much its not even funny one store im one size the next im 2 sizes smaller or larger ! Mindy

Here is a question , Where are you shopping ? For instance are you shopping at plus size stores ? "Normal" stores ? ect ? Mindy

Easter Sunday or not , if your worried that's what you paid for . A doc is on call for a reason . Chances are they will listen to what you say , if its not a concern they will tell you to come in Monday to take a look . But I PROMISE you you will feel better for calling. You paid your surgeon for his services, its his job to take your calls when you have issues! Its not a bother ! Mindy

Its common to retain fluids post op , everyone is different . Just as with the band and weight loss in general . Some people lose faster some slower. You cant compare yourself with other. Again post op ESPECIALLY a week post op is not about weight loss ! Mindy

Were you throwing up or just coughing really hard ? If you did not throw up a lot your probably ok . I can see the band becoming tight from the coughing , I would call your band doc and let him know what is going on . Anytime I get sick , have health issues, i call my band doc and let him know what is going on . General Practionars do not know enough about bands to know when they need to be unfilled and when they dont. If you ever start throwing up from a virus you need to call your band doc ASAP . But as a general rule i call my band doc if im ill with something . (Not colds ect but something long lasting ect. ) Mindy

First of all congrats . Second you should not "Expect' any weight loss for the first six weeks. The first 6 weeks post op is about recovery not weight loss. your body just went through surgery , it has to HEAL FIRST . THEN you can think about and worry about weight loss. Now , Will you lose some weight ? Maybe , Probably . SO if you do think of it as a bonus ! The larger incision area is probably your port incision . Directly behind that area is probably not the port , it might be scar tissue, but maybe not this early . If you have any concerns its best to call your doctor. But for my personally that area was more sore than the others. But like i said i would call your doc. Again be patient with the weight loss, right now you need to HEAL ! The weight loss will come over the rest of your life ! Mindy

Howdy ya'll . Im still around. slowly working my way back up . Ya'll have not kicked me out yet ! LOL Im walking about 2 days a week right now . My hip is feeling better. I am not having as many problems with it as I was . I notice some stiffness when i get up in the mornings some but not as much . This week i am going to try to start week 2 of the program and do yoga on my off days and see how that goes ? on the up side ive lost 80 lbs now im down to 170 I expect to be under 170 this week. My fill is really working now . I just went shopping and bought a size 11 in JUNIORS ( Like a size 12 in womens ) But i was SO excited !!! So here i am !!! HOld me accountable ya'll !!! Mindy

Not to nit pick but some one's actual height and weight does not have a lot to do with what size band they get from what I understand. Its the size of their Anatomy inside is what determines the size of the band used. Granted it sounds like this doc used a band that was too big which can happen but "outward" appearance has nothing to do with it . Mindy

My back and hip do not hurt today . I was surprised after walking that much yesterday . I am a little sun burnt on my chest and face though . Surprised my legs did not get sun burnt after seeing the sun for the first time in 6 or so yrs. I hope I will walk again today too so i dont get sore Mindy

Ok I "Started' The Program again. I went to the zoo today and walked and walked, A good 3 hours. I meant to bring my pedometer to track it but I TOTALLY FORGET UGHHH . I KNOW it was well over a mile im guessing it was at least 3 ! So that's my "easing" back into it i needed that my doc told me to do LOL Mindy

Ok so i have to move my a$$ literally LOL My R hip has been bothering me for the past week or so . So i went to the doc today to get it checked out . Turns out that its "weak Muscles" in my lower back and my butt from ! My doc asked me " did you suddenly stop working out , specifically running or something like that ? " I said yeah actually a few months ago when I got pneumonia" he said what happened was I had build up so much muscle in my "back area" So quickly then stopped that those muscles after day to day use are giving out and need to be build back up . He said " you didnt have this issue before cause you did not use them when you were over weight . SO my RX MOVE MY A$$ !!! He told me to walk for a few weeks and do some yoga to stretch them back out . So here i am telling everyone so you make me be accountable ! SO today going to walk on treadmill , maybe outside. tomorrow i'll get my walking in Taking the kids to the Zoo in San Antonio ! mindy

Oh Hon , no one said we didnt believe you . I honestly was asking how fault could be "determined" for my self , just curious thing. Mindy

My fills are free for a yr . I pay $125 for flouro to the hospital . The first 3 fills I had they were about every 6-8 weeks . then my last once i stretched out to 12 weeks , I had some issues with being able to tolerate 1cc fills . And the first 2 fills i had to go back and get .5 cc's taken out . So i wanted to see if waiting a bit longer helped plus we ( doc and I ) that .5cc fills or smaller is what we will do from now on to avoid unfills. Im not required to see him any certain time. except i think at one yr . But i see him enough as it is and i can see him when ever lOL I can call on Monday and be in to see him anytime that week . Oh that's too bad , I see my doc EVERY Visit , fill or not . And he does all my fills himself. that's why a reason i picked him, He does not spend a lot of time , its not needed when its a fill. But he spends as much time as I NEED with me . He's great. Mindy

I do that every time i get a fill., its up to me to schedule the fill , once i do i sit down with my doc and he asks me quite a few questions and determines if i need a fill or not . I think most docs are like this. Mindy

Yes i have discovered that as well. Not accounting for stressful periods , Period periods (LOL) and the band just plain being funky ! Mindy

As Dr Phil says " Let me know how this works out for you " If i did that my doc would tell me to kiss his a$$ ! Not those exact words but you get my drift ! Advocate for yourself yes. But The first 6 weeks after SURGERY is there for RECOVERY not to see how quickly you can get a fill . Also fills can take several days ( in my case can take up to a WEEK ) to kick in . SO your risking being TOO TIGHT and needing an unfill. SORRY this is VERY bad advice ! Mindy

LMAO Ya'll have not seen that movie, She walks into the Water park and the employee stops "her" and says " Excuse me are you wearing bottoms " she says " BOTTOMS I HAVE BOTTOMS ON " and LIFTS HER STOMACH UP to show him her bikini bottoms IT IS THE FUNNIEST !!!
