My date is set for February 26th. I cannot wait to get started on the road to thin. My goal is to go from 295 to 160. Note going to be easy, but I will follow the plan and exercise everyday.

I get my first fill on April 2nd. I am hardly eating today and tracking everything. Exercise has been about 30 minutes on the treadmill a day and increasing. I have lost a total of 42 lbs since my first weigh in at the doctors office. I brought 9 bags of my fat clothes to GoodWill and feel awesome. I am wearing clothing I havent been able to wear in 2 years. On the down side I have managed to have 2 really great episodes of the slimes. Learning what I can and cannot eat has really been a interesting experience. I find that I have the most trouble on the weekends when I have too much free time. I can't wait until spring finally gets hear for good so I can golf. Still Smilin in Illiniois.

Thanks for the support. I had my first follow up yesterday which was 9 days after surgery. I started on mushy foods last night. Who new that 2 scrambled eggs could be a banquet. I have my first adjustment on April 2nd. Since my very first visit to the doctor through today I have lost 34.5lb. Only 100 more to go.

I did it!! Last Friday I had by procedure and got through it with flying colors. I am amazed at how I already feel better. I am finding it difficult to eat and drink without the gas. I strongly recommend Gas-X strips which are saving me. My doctor and the staff at Day One Health in Chicago were amazing.

Well tomorrow morning at 5:45 am I have my surgery. I made it through 2 weeks of liquids and have lost 13 pounds with exercise. I am so excited about where I have come from and where I am going. The past two weeks have been so much more psychological than physical. See you on the otherside. 110lbs. to go!!

On day 11 of my liquid diet and I havent lost it yet. Yesterday was the most difficult day that I have had controlling my hunger. I did learn a very valuable lesson though in a moment of weakness I ate solid food and I suffered all evening. I only need one reminder and I am back on board. Since I began 11 days ago is have lost 12lbs. I am really ready for surgery on Friday.

I am on Day 4 of my liquid diet and although the first 2 days were a hard I have found that keeping busy is the best way to deal with the change. Getting on the treadmill was fun. Fun because I havent done it in so long it was new. The other thing I would recommend is to track your food intake. I have been using www.fooddiary.com for the past 48 days and have lost 17.5lb. I cannot believe how many calories I was consuming without being aware of what I was eating. If you reading this and need some encouragement let me know. It is empowering to take control of your mind, body and soul. Thank goodness for my wife!!
