    October 2006 Bandsters!

I too am amazed at the differences in post op diets. I had 2 weeks of liquids (didn't have to be clear, just pass the straw test) and now have just begun adding mushies the last 2 days. So far I have been satisfied, and have only dealt a couple of times with "head hunger" and then I just found something to do like go walking. Even just 2 weeks post op, I am feeling so much better with a few pounds off, and I have already been able to stop my blood pressure meds. I hope my blood pressure will remain normal with out the meds. I just hate having to take medication. Best of luck to all the October Bandsters with you journey.

    Hey PRE-Banders...!

There are many things that I am looking forward too, but 1st and probably most important to me is that I will feel good about myself again, and in turn I think that will effect every other aspect of my life. I have two boys, 13 and 10 and I don't won't them to be embarrassed of their mother. And I want to be desired by my HUBBY again. I know he loves me, but when you don't love yourself, it effects everything. I am so excited to begin this journey in my life. Only 14 more days. I am going to Dr. Jose Rodriguez in Acuna Mexico

    October 2006 Bandsters!

Jules, Dr. Rodriguez in Acuna will also be doing my surgery...14 more days...October 20th. I am really getting excited. I started my pre-op today. I am ready for this change in my life. I am sick and tired of always feeling sick and tired! I have only told a few people about my surgery. I've talked to 2 friends at work about it. One is excited for me, and the other thinks I am absolutely crazy for going to Mexico. I am still debating whether to tell my parents about it, because I'm afraid their response will be negative about me going to Mexico. My hubby is so supportive!! He has loved me more than I deserve, and definitely more than I have loved myself the last few years. Good luck on the 26th.

    Just saying Hi

Hi to everyone. I live in OKC. I am getting my LapBand in Mexico. My insurance wouldn't cover anything, so it is South of the Border for me. I have never posted before, so I hope I am doing this right. I am certainly computer illiterate. I should get my 10 year old in here to help. I am having surgery by Dr. Jose Rodriguez in Ciudad Acuna Mexico on October 20. I wish it were tomorrow, but gotta go when I can take the time off from work and the hubby can go with me. My mother in law is going also and having surgery the same day. I really enjoy reading everyone's postings. I have been reading a lot on lapbandtalk.com for several months now.
