I'm in the exact same boat. I gain quick! My sleeve can withstand everything and nothing makes me sick either. I'm recommitting myself to my tool and making it work. We can do this!!! Good Luck! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I need a reset too!!! I was sleeved 04/03/2012...not one complication and loved it! It's the best thing I've ever did for myself. I do tell my friends that it's the easiest but also the hardest thing...Easy because the weight just fell off but hard because it's always a mental game. Ahhh but I digress... My lowest recorded weight was 159lbs...although I think my lowest was at 148lbs (after gall bladder surgery). I am now at 182lbs. GRR...I'm so disappointed in myself BUT I know that I can do it. I want this 20lbs off and I will get it off. I've been planning my meals and starting trying to get in my Water (emphasis on trying) and I start bikram yoga this weekend. 160..you're calling my name! Wish Me Luck ! PS. If anyone needs an accountability partner...let me know

anyone still on here that's more than a month out of surgery?
sabrina4you replied to Janice1968's topic in Rants & Raves
I'll be at three years in April. I was at goal for a long time but the past six months it's slowly creeping back up...I'm working on it now. I started back with Protein shakes and mostly protein all through out the day. My carb intake got crazy! I have about 15-17lbs I would like to permanently get rid of. Got My Date 11/05/12 Going From Band To Sleeve..
sabrina4you replied to soocalchic's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm down 70 lbs yesterday. OMG...I feel and look amazing lol. My highest weight was 240 I'm 169 today. Size 11 from a 22. I'm SO happy with it. I haven't had any problems at all...sometimes I still stuggle with taking in all of my Water but that's it. Girl, it's the easiest thing... The lapband did nothing for me! I lost 30lbs and was at the highest restriction I could be at. I learned how to cheat with it...it basically sucked for me. I had esophgeal dilatation...I had acid reflux...I was miserable because I wasn't losing anything and THEN gained everything back!!! I'm glad that we have this option available for us when the band didn't work. You're gonna do great! -

I remember you from LB talk. You were one of my thinspirations. Yeah, the band didn't work for me and I revised in April 2012 after having the LB for 2 years. VSG is the BEST thing I could have ever did for myself. Good Luck Girl and I look forward to seeing your posts...Much success!!!! -
Not At Goal (20Lbs Away)...plastics?
sabrina4you replied to sabrina4you's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
LMAO...I guess I should be more clear. I was at work typing the initial post and tried to hurry. Okay, So, I'm about 20lbs away from my goal. My breasts have taken a hit the last 20 or so lbs. They're not really that bad but are flattening out...if that makes sense. I know a lot of people say you should wait until you're at goal for at least 2 years to get your breasts done, either lifted or implants. I don't want to wait. I want to do it soon, maybe by January. I don't want to go huge or anything...just a really nice full natural looking pair of breasts. What harm could it actually do? -
I use Kelo-Cote. I bought it from Amazon. It's a little bit pricey but it works really good. I used it for my lapband scars and I'm using it for my new VSG scars.

I have my preop appointment today. I've had some sort of anxiety all day yesterday and all night. I know that I want this but my mind is racing and I'm SO nervous. I am a revision from Realize band to VSG ... and I was no where near as nervous the first time around. I was so cool, calm and collected. For some reason, I'm scared. My surgery is April 3...less than 2 weeks. Anyone else feel like this?

I posted this on another website but no one answered me :confused5: Anyone approved on the first time for a revision from Realize band (2/11/10) to Sleeve? I just recently had to change insurance from Anthem to Cigna PPO.I tried to get the revision with Anthem in Sept. and Oct. of 2011 but I was denied twice, even though I had pouch dilatation, a minor slip and very minimal weight loss (40 lbs), I was told I was denied because I haven't had my band for 2 years. It will be 2 years next month. The patient coordinator was fighting for me but I didn't get approved. In my mind I kind of gave up. I was unfilled from Sept to Dec. and I have gained closed to 20 pounds...that is half of what I lost with the band in almost two years!!! Frustation!!!! Well, January comes and my husband's company (they always buy the weight loss rider) changes insurance to CIgna PPO. I find out that my original bariatric doctor is not covered at all. So I am referred by Cigna to my new doctor. I'm in the process of jumping though their hoops just to be seen by him, which is fine with me. I've done my research and he has a pretty good track record. The staff in the office is nice and actually listened to what I had to say, which was very important to me because I was very scared about having to start all over. I have an endoscopy scheduled for next Thursday, so hopefully after that I can get the ball rolling.... So what do you think my chances that I can get approved on the first try? Thank You :aureola: Sabrina

3 Weeks Post Op Yesterday - Er Visit
sabrina4you replied to HadToDoIt40's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm three weeks out and I'm experiencing the same thing. Went to the er on Saturday, they did a cat scan and blood work to rule out any problems with my pancreas. The ER doc said, I have a virus in my lymph nodes and that it just has to run it's course. I just don't believe that because of where the pain is located. I have an appoinment with my bariatric doctor tomorrow, so I'll see what he says. Good Luck to you and hope you feel better soon. -
