Fitting into work clothes that I grew out of :tongue_smilie:Yay!

Its been a almost a month and I still can't burp. LOL. My recovery was pretty easy breezy...I thought I was gonna feel awful but I didn't. Surprised my incisions are healing really nicely. Yay! Also, just had my first fill and that was sort of bizarre...I know it was the first one and the rest will be a little bit easier. I guess I was just freaked out, lol. I'm also surprised at the inches I'm losing as opposed to the pounds and just how gradual a process it actually is... ~*S

Oh man, that sounds awful. I just had my first fill this past Friday...I'm trying to eat LB properly...but old habits are hard to give up. I will learn from this ~*S

Just to clarify...I went through his personal Beverly Hills office and not Beverly Hills Physicians. ~*S

I was banded by Dr. Feiz on 2/11/2010. He and his staff are wonderful! I was worried too about all of the bad things you hear about scams and such...the best advice I can give you is to ask your surgeon. The office is a very busy place and we all want that extra special attention, I know I do...so sometimes it may seem that they are unorganized BUT they get it done! I'm glad I went with Dr. Feiz and I'm sure you will be too. ~*S:thumbup:

I got my surgery date!!! YES!!! 1/12 Psych Evaluation 1/13 Nutrition Evaluation 1/20 Endoscopy (knocked me on my butt, lol, but not bad) 1/20 Insurance docs submitted to Anthem BC of Va 1/22 Notified of Insurance approval/authorization 1/29 Pre-Op Clearance 2/5 Pre-Op Surgeon Visit February 11, 2010 my new life will begin! WHOO WHOO ! ! ! I have gained so much knowledge coming to this website. I truly feel that getting the Lapband is the best decision for me. I want to be healthy, hot and happy! I will be that woman Everyone on here is so caring and helpful. I love reading all of the stories and experiences, bad and good I can't wait to be banded! So I, too, can share. The deciding factor for me is that my grandmother was the same age I am now when she found out she had Diabetes. I can't let that be me. Plus, I want to feel good about wearing certain clothes and not feel too big to sitting in chairs. I want to be comfortable in my own skin...I don't want to be invisible anymore. I want to regain my confidence...:woot: #8. Do you have the support of family and friends? I have tons of support from my hubby, friends and family. #8. Concerns and questions? I'm just a little worried about the gas and pain. I have a high tolerace of pain...but what if I can't take it? lol. I'm hoping to get banded by Dr. Feiz early February. I should have my psyc and nut. sometime this week. I just wish I could get this done...I'm SO ready

So I called Anthem, got my policy number and was able to give it to my Dr.'s office. The office manager said that she would call Anthem for authorization (?) Now I'm gonna wait for my psych and nutritionist evaluations. She said this is just the beginning and in a few weeks or so I'd have a surgery date. YAY!:smile2: ~*Sabrina

because my husband forgot to do a change of address with his company. (Thanks Hubby:eek:) His company had open enrollment in November, I specifically chose an insurance company that I know will cover the band. Our effective date is January 1, 2010...SOOO...I have to call Anthem on Monday and get them to send out our medical cards. I was hoping to get everything submitted on January 5 (my bday) I took the day off to go with my friend to get her fill and I was going to take all of my info to the Dr's office at that time. UGH! Its just SO frustrating because I wanted to get this done with a quickness! Does anyone know if I can get my policy and group number, can the Dr's office use that to verify coverage with my insurance company or do they need the actual card??? Thanks ~*Sabrina:tongue:

Thanks Everyone for your advice. I am going to call Anthem tomorrow, print out my temporary cards and fax all of my info to my Dr.s office. Ugh...I just wish I could magically be approved and fast! *~Sabrina

I would like to know EXACTLY what steps the Insurance company takes once they receive your packet to get approved or denied?...I mean WHAT DO THEY DO? How many people touch the paperwork we send in? Is it one representative that makes the decision or a panel of people? Someone please tell me how this works? I will be submitting my paperwork packet on January 4, 2009…crossing my fingers for a fast approval and fast sx date. J
