I was a revision from lapband to sleeve on the 3rd. I feel good! I'm down 16lbs. Still a little sore and bruised on my largest incision. I think also because the lapband was removed, I have swelling around the port area. I'm in the same boat, trying to get in my liquids...boy is that hard! Also, trying to keep up with taking my vitamins. Sometimes I miss eating...lol. My family had a get together over the weekend and BBQ'ed hotdogs and hamburgers...smelled SO good...but I was content drinking my protein shake. Cheers to Our Weight Loss April Sleevers!

We are more than half way through April, plenty of us have had our surgerys and the other half are (im)patiently waiting... How are we all doing?

I used kelocote for my Lapband scars 2 years ago but that a bit pricey...I'm gonna pick up some vitamin E and start massaging

I'm a week post op today and I feel the same way...ugh.

I have to be at the hospital at 8am. I am so excited...but also very nervous. I've been on liquids for two days and all I can think about is cheese...or a subway sandwich...or a taco. LOL. I'm gonna pack my bag, do some cleaning and rest my brain. Wish me luck everyone

I was sleeved 4/3 and came home with a drain. I hate it...it's annoying. If I didn't have it, I think I would feel better. It comes out on 4/12.

I'm home now and resting. Still very sore and sipping my water. I have a drain coming out of my tummy. Just praying I get through the healing phase fast and on my way to my new life. Thank you for all the well wishes everyone here is sooo helpful and supportive.

I asked my physicians assistant if they would be able to use the scars from my lap band, he said not if it would compromise the vsg surgery. I really love my scars from my lapband surgery...3 small ones and the larger one in my belly button. . but I'll be fine with new ones

I used Kelo-Cote for surgical scars, when I had my lapband surgery. It worked really well...I'll use it this time around, too when I get VSG.

I'm scheduled for April 3rd and I'm getting SUPER Nervous and Excited...It's almost here!!!

I'm done with all of the preop requirements...I'm starting my preop diet and now I just wait until next week. I'M SO NERVOUS. I do have to go to one support group in May, that I'm really looking forward to. Did i mention that I'M NERVOUS? lol.

Just got back from the final part of my preop appointments. Yesterday, I met with my surgeon and the nurse. Asked some questions and they answered them, lol I got my prescriptions for the meds I will need for after surgery ...Then I went to register at the hospital...that took forever but I met with a patient coordinator and she explained everything to me in detail. I also had to do an EKG, labs and a chest x-ray. Today, I had to go to a class with the nurse and the dietician. They talked more about the surgery and what to expect. They also talked about the different food phases we will be going through as we are healing. Very informative...I also paid my out of pocket expenses (yikes!) So, I'm all set now...surgery is April 3. IT IS NOW REAL
