  4. Hi Everyone, Feeling a bit down due to lack of weight loss. I am 2 months post op and 1 week post 1st fill. I have lost a stone since op which I was pleased with but now its been about 3 weeks since I lost anything. I feel no restriction at all. Although I am eating healthily, I can still manage all foods and manage to finish everything on my plate most times without any problems and without feeling at least full. I dont feel hungry after eating but I dont feel FULL either. I could easily carry on eating. My nutritionist advised me to cut out carbs for the next 6 months to give my band chance to work and to boost weight loss but hey isn't that what we all know as DIETING?? I know I have to work with the band for it to work and I know I should start to introduce regular excercise but surely if I am dieting and excercising that means I back to square one? Any advise or tips would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance guys:smile2:

Can I eat this or that?

:sneaky: Thanks Restlessmonkey! So I guess if I can tolerate something then it is ok to eat it? I understand what you mean about practicing chewing and small portions. This I am doing. Just been worried about damage. If I take heed of the literature I was sent home with, I would never eat again it seems....not enough detail which leaves you having to kind of work it all out for yourself. Which i am happy to do as long as it doesnt kill me lol My husband agrees with you about the gas lol not good! I was suppose to see doc this week but appointment postponed til 28th cant get to see them in between. Thank goodness for sites like this and people like you. All the best.
  7. Hi Guys, I am into my 5th week post op and on solids. I will not see doc for first time since op until 28th Sep. I just cant stop being anxious. I'm not sure if I am eating too much. I dont eat huge portions but I def eat more than a cup full which is the volume most people are told to eat. I have 3 meals daily and no snacking. I am also managing to eat any foods that I try without problems. Should I be able to eat bread, crunchy peppers, mushrooms, chicken & rice?? I do chew my food well and i take 20-30 mins to finish. Does this sound normal or am I at risk of damaging my band?? Now that I am on solids can I try any solids?? I feel ok, no problems. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks:confused:
  8. Wow! Great weight loss in 7 weeks. Pleased you have not had any problems. I haven't fallen in love with my band yet but I know I am going to real soon!!!:tt1: Keep up the good work!
  9. Hi I cant exercise yet although I do walk and I am very mobile. Just not ready for the gym. Couple more weeks and you wont get me out of there:smile: Thanks for the advise. This site is certainly a blessing and more importantly the people are great. Thanks.
  10. Thank you for the encouraging words! I am working with my band just doubtful about how well. Was keen to talk to doc but have to wait now. But hey, that's cool, your right... I can do it!!
  11. Hi thanks for the reassurance. Its good to talk to someone esp as you are ahead of me at 7 weeks post op. How have you been with it all? Have you had good weight loss?
  12. Thanks for quick reply! Just not sure if I am eating too much. Today I had BF : Scrambled egg (2 eggs, little milk, 2tsps sour cream, brown sauce) Lunch: 2 L/F Crackers, 4 tbsps canned tuna, sour cream, humous Dinner: 6 tbsps shepherds pie & mushy peas Evening Snack: 2 L/f Cream crackers with humous Drank Water throughout day 2 coffees decaf 1 skinny hot choco Is that a lot...sounds alot. I have no problems eating any of it or keeping it down. Just may not be little enough for weight loss
  13. Hi Everyone! How is everyone getting on? I just found out that my 1st appointment with doc since op is being delayed until end of this month, which is 4 weeks later than it should of been!! I just know I will put any weight lost back on by then. I was so looking forward to this appointment and having the opportunity to ask directly some questions etc. Just starting solids. Any advice and tips on eating/recipes/food quantities etc would be much appreciated. I so dont want to put weight back on in the meantime. Hope everyone is doing good. :-)
